I purchased this flat iron a year to a year and half ago when I was in cosmetology school from Amazon. It was a great step up from the one that came in the kit that was part of our tuition, and I got a ton of use out of it. It heats up quickly and glides smoothly, and seems to do pretty well on all the hair textures I've used it on (fine, thick, ethnic, straight, wavy, curly, coarse). Mine came with a heat protective glove, which is great if you tend to burn yourself, a clamping comb to help you keep tension on the hair, and a 15 ml/0.5 oz sample of their argan oil, whcih I love the smell of. It's got, like, vanilla and amber tones or something? Very mild and lightly sweet. The flat iron has held up solidly to some pretty heavy use, and I've since bought more of their argan oil and their thermal protective spray, which I've really enjoyed as well.
No real complaints, seems to do it's job. I already have pretty decently full brows, though, I mostly fill them in to match heavier makeup or to warm them up to match my hair better. I guess the one thing I'd change is that I wish it had a spoolie.
I haven't had issues with flashback on myself or others, but I know that was a complaint when this HD powder first launched. I'm very pale, so ymmv. It does, however, seem to like to pill like crazy when it's first applied, no matter what brand of liquid foundation I put it over. Clearly there's some issue with incompatible bases, but I don't know exactly what's reacting. A few extra swipes with a powder brush knocks off the pilling, though, and the makeup looks fine.
It seems to help hold my makeup on in the Florida heat and humidity. I havent had any issues with it seperating my foundations or anything, but that mostly comes down to whether the bases are compatible.
I don't really care for the packaging. It's hard to keep in pockets, and I don't think it's any easier to apply with. It also seems to pick up dirt and debris really easily. It's not a bad chapstick, but I usually reach for something else to carry with me.
I like the convenience of the pump a lot, it really keeps things from getting messy when I'm painting my nails on let than stable surfaces. Only complaint is that sometimes a small amount with spray out randomly or it'll bead up underneath the dispenser.
