McDonald's is a great place to stop when you want a cold treat year round. You can't beat the McFlurry, a delicious and budget-friendly treat! With three unbeatable flavors, it always satisfies your sweet tooth. I only wish the US McDonald's had some of the amazing seasonal flavors that international McDonald's offer!
First off, let me start by saying that, if you love pumpkin, this is a great ice cream. Ben and Jerry's means quality, and this ice cream is no exception. The pumpkin flavor is rich, perhaps the richest of every pumpkin ice cream I've tried. However, it's not 'pumpkin ice cream,' it's Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream. I suppose I expected something more than just standard pumpkin ice cream. Supposedly it had ribbons of graham cracker crumbles throughout. If my pint did, it was barely perceptible. I don't know where the cheese part of the cheesecake came in, if at all. I suppose I was hoping for chunks of cheesecake or, at least, thick ribbons of solid graham cracker (a la Turkey Hill's excellent Phillies Graham Slam ice cream). As it is, this was an excellent, but not really remarkable, pumpkin ice cream.
The Office very quickly became a beloved classic in my house. The writing is painfully clever, and the ensemble cast are masters at comedic timing. I actually preferred it to the UK original. I felt that it was every bit as funny, but all of the characters seemed to be more complete, two-dimensional. I also loved how heartwarming it was. At times.
Breaking Bad is, quite simply, the best television show of the past twenty years (or, you know, maybe all time). Vince Gilligan created a story that managed to be so touching and relatable one minute and completely heart-stopping the next. The writing was excellent, and the acting was absolutely incredible. I thought Bryan Cranston was amazing the first time I watched the series, but when I watched it over again (after knowing the entire plot), the subtleties of his acting just blew me away. Breaking Bad is an absolute gem.
In general, I've been a fan of Dannon's Activia line, and I love that it's a yogurt that highlights its digestive benefits. I've liked most of the flavors I've tried (with my favorite being one that was discontinued). Banana Cream sounded good, but it was very artificial tasting. While not inedible, I think this was my least favorite of all of their flavors.
Since I'm a coffee lover, I bought a few of Oikos' Caramel Macchiato Greek Yogurt. The first one I ate chilled from the refrigerator. I've never had a convincing coffee flavored yogurt, and this one was no exception. To me, it had an aftertaste I didn't care for. However, I popped all the other cups into the freezer and they made for delicious frozen yogurt! I would buy it again, but I would only eat it frozen.
When I was a kid, eating yogurt was a punishment. It looked like pudding, but it sure didn't taste like pudding. Since when did yogurt start tasting so much like dessert?! Chobani's Greek Yogurt Indulgent Mint & Dark Chocolate is so good, you could serve it to your dinner guests after a fancy meal. It's a special treat that still packs the health benefits of yogurt, like the beneficial bacteria.
Too bad these are limited edition! The Pumpkin Harvest Tortilla Chips are fantastic! They have a very good, earthy flavor with a nice crunch, improved even more by some pumpkin seeds. These definitely should be around all year. While they are great for the fall, they're not so autumny that you think you couldn't eat them year round!
Potato chips are fine, but I've always preferred the natural tastiness of sweet potato chips. I love that Terra have come out with other types of veggie chips, like beets, and carrots were a fun surprise. The carrots are so naturally sweet, and they perfectly complement the sweet potatoes. I would definitely buy Terra Sweet Potato % Carrot Chips again!
