These are my favorite matte lipsticks! I have both the 2016 and 2017 holiday sets and have loved every shade. The lightest one in 2017, working girl, was kind of dry looking because of how light it is against my skin tone, but instantly looks good with a lip liner. I highly recommend buying the holiday sets because the value is too good and the quality is just as great as the permanent range. I'm wearing "provocateur" in the photo. It lasts very well on the lips, but can have some issues with a thicker lip balm underneath, so wipe off balm before you use these lipsticks. They have some unique shades if you look into the collection, as well as my current favorite nude (duchess).
The shade "slayer" is patchy, drying, and not even black but a deep grey in the most unflattering way. The packaging was horrible and opened in my bag all the time, and the lipstick was very unstable to apply.
I have had three shades - sugarplum fairy, mochalicious, and cinnamon spice - and loved all of them. The packaging is the reason for the star reduction because it's very easy for the top to come off and the lipstick to smash, which happened to mochalicious for me. All three were beautifully pigmented, not streaky or drying, and lasted well on the lips.
I have a cream shade - Blaze - and it's a beautiful shade that lasts well on the lips. It's fine when I drink out of a straw, but does remove on the center when you eat food. It's very comfortable on the lips and one of my favorite shades.
These are good lipsticks! Some shades can be a little drying. Nude creme was my favorite shade for a long time, and #04 was my favorite red for years. I currently only own fruit punch, which is a super beautiful bright mid-tone pink.
This is one of my favorite lipstick formulas ever! It's a very thin and light feeling on the lips, but not greasy at all, and only ever so slightly drying. There's no sheen associated with these and they last a really long time on the lips, even through some meals. Matte Beauty is my favorite shade - gorgeous terracotta brown.
These are very good lightly pigmented glosses. I loved the shades tiramisu and peach cobbler. Finished them both up! I loved using these atop lipsticks that may be drying or too dark or light for the look I'm going for. These are also great as a subtle wash of color for an everyday look. If I ever feel like I want a specific subtle shade of gloss, this is where I go.
