I'm Tracey - a fitness buff, a fur-mom, and a professional vocalist & voice coach. I love natural/organic products, especially skincare. I also love learning about fun dog supplies and toys. I do a lot of shopping for athletic gear/nutrition and like learning about the latest health trends. I'm a DIYer too - if I can build it myself, I prefer to!
I love the chia seeds in this Kombucha drink - the flavor and the chia make this one go down the hatch pretty quickly. It's super tasty - also this is a lot more mild tasting than the others, in my opinion. I think the price is about right (around $3) and so I will grab a few of these for the week. This one is at the top of the list just because those chia seeds are super yummy!
Great - not too much I can say about a toothbrush. It's got a good handle and the bristles are a nice medium weight. It cleans really well - sometimes I use with just water in between brushing morning/night to give my teeth a little freshening up. The packaging is fine - easy to get into. It's a toothbrush and it's like $4 so that seems weird. $2 would probably do the trick to get 5 stars.
Fluoride can be potentially harmful to your teeth - I prefer all-natural ingredients. This also contains Propylene Glycol which is, essentially, antifreeze. They also include Sodium Saccharin which is an artificial sweetener although normally used in toothpastes. I prefer Tom's or Jason's toothpaste for Fluoride-free and anti-freeze free. I don't even care for Colgate's packaging or pricing either.
Great price for a 6 pack of razors. They last a good while and also have a nice handle...they rarely slip from my hands. The quality is great and they do exactly what they should be doing, which is removing hair. The packaging is nice and easy - sometimes I need a jackhammer to break open the packaging, but I think the last few packs I bought, they had a tear front option. Also - no lotion strip on these, but I actually prefer that as it's a closer shave.
I bought the CoverGirl Perfect Blend Eye Pencil in the color Charcoal. I never use the smudgey spongey thing at the end... when I do, I feel like it's tearing eyelshes out of my eye. It's not great. The color went on fairly well, however, I had to sharpen that sucker all the time and the sharp tip frequently breaks off. I am also not a fan of Covergirl's animal testing. At this point in life and technology, we should know what will and will not harm people without testing on animals. And if Covergirl is putting so many chemicals into their products that they have to continue testing, I don't want to buy them at all anyway.
I'm a Burt's Bees kinda gal - however this particular lip balm was pretty good for a quick fix. I wouldn't buy it again - this was a 1-off because I needed some lip protection. The smell of it was OK - but the more I wore it, the more I ended up not liking it. It was a touch greasier than I'm used to, but all-in-all, I think it's step up from what I'm used to see from Blistex.
I give it 3 stars more because it cost $50. It's lotion, at the end of the day, and I don't believe it is honestly worth that much. The scent is lovely as is the packaging and it does feel great. I only bought this product once. I love that it has some natural ingredients - argan oil is a great moisturizing ingredient. I would say that if $50 isn't too steep for something you will go through fairly quickly, it's definitely a great product. It just wasn't for me and what I wanted to spend with regards to lotion.
Review for: Liquid Hand Soap Refill Lemon Verbena 33 oz more...
Disclaimer - I didn't buy the giant 33 ounces that's shown in the picture; I bought the small counter-sized bottle. I love these products as they're all natural and non-toxic. The dispenser has never failed me (meaning, the pump has never broken on me) and the soap itself lathers wonderfully and lasts for quite some time - you only need a pump if you're washing hands. Since it's all natural and non-toxic, I've never had a rash or itch or break-out from it. The scent is lovely and I'm looking forward to trying the others. In our house, we usually have a bottle of this by the kitchen sink - it lasts forever and even looks lovely with the pretty packaging and logo. I'd recommend this product (and have) to anyone. All-natural and non-toxic is the way to go!
Love Tom's - it's all natural with no hidden toxic chemicals. The scent is beautiful and not too overwhelming. It lathers wonderfully and does exactly what it says - cleans and soothes. I've tried this bar and one other of Tom's and I'll use these products in the future. The bar also lasted quite a while before I had to go out and get another type of body wash.
