Review for heimish - All Clean Balm 120ml 120ml - 2 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
This was my first ever cleansing balm. I started double cleansing with this. I had never double cleansed before but I heard good things about this from beauty YouTubers. I've been using this for 3-4 months now. One tub has lasted me that long and I still have a bit left. I like this stuff. It definitely takes off your makeup. The only issue I have is that it tends to make my eyes cloudy when I use it to take off my mascara. I deal with it though instead of having to use another makeup remover. It doesn't irritate my eyes or sting, just makes them cloudy. I would definitely suggest this. It's reasonably priced. I got it on Amazon. I plan on trying some other cleansing balms and if I remember I'll try to update this.

Review for Yes To Acne Fighting Micellar Cleansing Water - 3 months, 1 week ago
I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. But let me explain.
I bought this after seeing it as I walked to the checkout at Ulta. It looked interesting and I haven't been burned by any of their products before, but I've only used the cucumber line before. I was having quite a bit of breakouts when I bought it so I started using it that night with the rest of my dermatologist prescribed routine. After about a week and a half of using it every night, I felt like my breakouts were getting worse. So I stopped using it. That was about 3 months ago, I don't really have many breakouts right now so I figured I'd give it another try. I've used it once the other night. I plan to try using it every other night and see what happens. I'll update after. But from my first experience I didn't like this.
Review for L'Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Treatment - 4 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
I have never used a hair oil before. My hair gets oily very fast (I tend to shampoo every day or other day) so the idea of putting an oil in my hair sounded terrible. But L'oreal said proof in one use to help damaged hair. My ends have been very dry and unhealthy looking. I tried this multiple ways as L'oreal suggested. I tried putting it through all of my hair right before shampooing. I have just run it through my ends. I have even put it in places closer to my scalp (since I get very oily I have been told by multiple stylists to keep any products to the middle and down to the end). And each way I was happy with the way my hair felt and looked. I couldn't really tell a difference after doing it before shampooing. But I could see shinier, and smoother hair when I ran it through dry hair. It also helped when the hair that frames my face got slightly frizzy, it smoothed it out and got rid of the frizz (mind you my hair doesn't really get frizzy). I was surprised to how light the oil was. It didn't even look like I put product in my hair (and I have a lot of thin hair so it's usually noticeable). When I would rub it in my hands to distribute in my hair, afterwards I could barely tell there was oil all over my hands. I like it. I will continue to use it. I'm interested to see how it does in the summer when my hair gets greasier much faster.

I received this product for free from Influenster for testing and reviewing purposes.
Review for Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer - Oil Free - 4 months ago

Review for: Bisque, Nude, Blush more...
This is my everyday go-to. I started wearing the regular (not the oil free) one a few years ago. I liked it but over time realized I was getting very oily. So I switched to the oil free and I haven't looked back. I've switched shades a bit between summer and winter, but honestly I could get away with the darker one in the winter and lighter one in the summer because it blends in really well. I'm in my twenties and have never liked the way foundations have looked on me, I always felt like they made me look fake or blatantly like I was wearing foundation. This does not do that for me. It looks like I'm wearing nothing. I have a few acne scars from the past year (IUD gave me horrible cystic acne that has left terrible marks - so upset over this) and this covers them up a tiny bit. The coverage is enough for me to feel better about heading out into the world. On days where I'm a bit more self-conscious I will layer this up a bit in that area or add some concealer. It also has spf 20 which is great. I've started wearing a higher SPF recently as the derm said to wear 30 at minimum. Love this stuff. I wear this practically every day and the tube lasts me forever! I haven't gone through a whole tube yet, my first tube expired before I finished it. You really don't need a lot since in smooths all over the face easily. I couldn't recommend this enough!

Review for Kiss Lash Couture Faux Mink Little Black Dress - 4 months, 3 weeks ago

I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I have tried to put falsies on before, but couldn't deal with them as it felt weird to me. But since I planned to use these for a halloween costume, I had to buckle in and keep them on all night. It doesn't come with lash glue, so you will need to buy that separately. After I cut them to fit my eyes, they were decently easy put on. And they looked great! A friend was admiring them all night! I'm excited to wear them again! They didn't look over the top, but still looked your were wearing lashes (unless you have crazy beautiful long full lashes, in which every woman would hate you for). I would suggest these to anyone! (Photo from part way through wearing them with my halloween costume, I was attempting Alison Brie's character from GLOW if anyone wanted to know.)

Review for Garnier Skinactive The Gentle Sulfate Free Cleanser - 4 months, 3 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I used this product everyday for about 2-3 weeks. It did not break me out, and I am acne prone. I did notice that it was a bit drying, which has been more noticeable as my face has been feeling dehydrated and dry lately. If you are greasy, like I used to be, you may like this as it does get all of the grease off your face. It has a smell that I can't place other than maybe an old soap product from like 10-15 years ago that didn't have any fragrance. It isn't overwhelming, but there is definitely a scent. I wouldn't buy it myself, but I will use it up as it is quite a large bottle, and felt nice as a post cleansing balm wash.

Review for Crest 3D White Whitening Therapy Enamel Care - 4 months, 3 weeks ago
I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. And I used the whole trial-sized tube, every day, two times a day, for about 3 weeks. I didn't see any difference in the whiteness of my teeth, nor did I notice anything different about my teeth. The taste was fine, and my teeth felt clean, but as for the special claims, I would not agree.
Review for Welch's® Fruit Rolls White Grape Strawberry - 4 months, 3 weeks ago
I haven't had a fruit roll up in a long time, so I am only comparing this to what I remember from when I was a kid. It was pretty sticky, stuck to my and my boyfriend's teeth. The taste was good, as one would expect it to taste like. Overall, it was okay. Nothing I would go out of my way for. I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Review for: Other more...
I got this in hopes to tone down my dark eyebrows (they are very dark, almost black and I have light brown hair). I got a lighter color. I wasn't a fan of this. The wand seemed to deposit too much in some places and nothing in others, so by the time I tried to fix it my eyebrows were even darker. This would probably be perfect for someone with very light colored and thin haired eyebrows, so make them more noticeable. Just not for me.

Review for Essence Pure Nude Highlighter - 5 months, 3 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
I've tried a few different highlighters since it's huge now with everyone going crazy over the becca highlighters and all the glow kits out there. I tried the wet and wild new highlighter in precious petals and wasn't a big fan. I tried a tarte one as well. Both felt too gold for my liking, I also tried a laura mercier that was white-ish, and it just felt too sparkly. I'm not the sparkle type. Everyone I follow on youtube said this was great, and natural. I finally tried to buy it from Ulta a month ago and they were sold out, went back again 2 weeks ago and I got it. I've been using it almost everyday and I love it. It is perfect for my skin tone/color. It is natural, and the perfect amount of highlight for the face, in my opinion. Sometimes I work it up a bit to really see it and other days a put a touch on and you can see it when I move around. I'm usually oily, which is why I originally didn't want a highlighter, but I really do love this!
