Review for Suave® Tropical Coconut Body Lotion - 4 months, 3 weeks ago
Coming out of winter with extremely dry skin, I was determined to find a lotion that would help my skin heal. The quality of this lotion is really nice. It absorbs well, has nice coverage, a good consistency - but I don't know if I would go for the coconut scent again. I am not a coconut fan, so that might have influenced my opinion from the onset of this free trial, but I do have friends that really enjoy the scent (they are now happy owners of this lotion). I would definitely buy this lotion if it was a different scent. I received this item complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Review for Suave® Clinical Protection PROsolid Lavender Fresh - 4 months, 3 weeks ago
For starters, the scent of this deodorant is wonderful! Not too overpowering and a wonderfully light lavender. While the product is effective, I tend to be a fan of solid deodorants. As a product for testing purposes, I enjoy it and will keep it in my gym bag for daily use. However, I don't know if this will be my go-to deodorant in the future. If you like this style of deodorant, this is wonderful! The coverage is good, it lasts a very long time, it is smooth on the skin, has a great scent - it just isn't for my personal every day use. I did receive this complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
Review for OPI Nail Lacquer - 5 months, 1 week ago

OPI is easily my go-to product for at-home manis and pedis. The color selections are spectacular and they hold up with every day wear and tear. I am not a huge fan of the gel polish because it messes with my nail bed, so OPI is my alternative for long-lasting polish. I don't indulge in manicures often, but I do have my toes painted all the time and this polish has always served me well. As a runner and someone that is always hard on my feet, I am constantly amazed by the consistent high quality of this product. I own regular bottles and a bunch of small mini polishes. The mini polishes are great for testing color and manicure variation due to the fact that I do not paint them often. To be honest, I don't think I've completely finished off a bottle of polish yet and I have had some of these polishes for quite a while. I do invest in the larger/standard bottles for the colors I use most frequently on my toes (reds). I will continue to purchase OPI for my polish needs and highly recommend it as a product of choice.

Love, love, love the Marc Jacobs fragrance line. This scent makes itself known with a lovely floral scent that lasts almost all day. It is a nice aroma that sticks around but is not overwhelming - despite the initial spritz of the perfume. The bottle is super cute too! This is a wonderfully sophisticated scent without being too floral. If you want to feel "girly" and still have an air of maturity, this is a great option for you.
Review for Proactiv Skin Care - 5 months, 3 weeks ago

I used this when I was younger and it just didn't work for my skin. There was one product (the instant blemish remover) that worked well for the random really bad zit that popped up, but even that wasn't consistent. The product was too rough on my skin and was not consistent in keeping a balance of my natural oils. I was either way too dry or severely broken out. The starting price point isn't bad now, but it was outrageous when they first started. I applaud my mom for trying to help by getting me this product, but this is not something I would recommend for teenagers trying to balance their hormones. Not my favorite skin care line.

Review for Garnier Fructis Haircare Sleek & Shine Conditioner - 5 months, 3 weeks ago

I used this shampoo/conditioner duo when I lived in Florida and it was great for helping to eliminate frizz and unwanted volume. I love the volume my hair normally holds, but it wasn't always welcome in the Florida heat - enter Garnier Sleek and Shine. I definitely purchased this product for frizz management and it did just that. However, I don't think that I would use this on a daily basis now that I am back in Ohio. I tried the end of my bottle up here and my hair just felt like it got too greasy too fast. For a drugstore shampoo/conditioner, it's a decent hair product.

Review for Urban Decay Perversion Mascara - 5 months, 3 weeks ago

I got this mascara as a part of a Sephora holiday mascara set and it has been a nice addition to my collection. The only reason I give it a "4" is because I have others that I absolutely love. This mascara is easy to use and the wand applies evenly across the lashes. The separation you get from the wand is nice, but application on round one is fairly thin. That being said, this is an easy mascara to layer with multiple coats. From my experience, you do get the big, bold, black lashes that every girl wants for a dramatic look. After application, drying is pretty quick and you lashes stay fairly soft. You can run a second coat and not feel like you are caking it on. The one thing that could be added to make it a "5" in my book is a waterproof element. That being said, this is a wonderful mascara and not terribly over priced. Around $20 is pretty good for this mascara.

Review for Urban Decay NAKED2 Eyeshadow Palette - 5 months, 3 weeks ago

I absolutely love this palette! Urban Decay got it right with their Naked lines. I have fair skin and each of these colors works well in concert with my makeup arsenal. I purchased my palette at Sephora and it has become a staple in my daily makeup process. While it is definitely a "splurge" product, I think it is worth the investment. You can go neutral and complimentary, or you can go dark and shadowy for a more dramatic look. This is a very versatile palette. The color applies well and has nice longevity. I am into both the shimmer and matte look, so I like that there are both represented in this palette, but you don't get a big variety of matte options. The brush that comes with the package is nice and is easy to just grab and use when I'm in a rush in the morning. It is double-ended, so you have some opportunity for precision and varying in approach with application.I've tried a few other palettes that are cheaper, but I find myself pulled back to this product time and time again.  I use all of the colors in this palette and it works well with my style. If you are considering this product but are concerned about the price, make sure you like all of the colors before investing. If it looks like something that fits your style, it is well worth the investment.

Review for JayBird - X3 Wireless In-Ear Headphones - Blackout - 6 months, 1 week ago
I have been using these headphones for four months now and they are BY FAR my favorite wireless headphones. I have used a few different brands over the years, but these take the cake. They have wonderful sound, come with six different ear pieces (three sizes of two different kinds: silicone and foam), two different types of security clips (one clip that can connect to your shirt and a sport clip that can shorten the wire behind your head so it doesn't get caught on anything - including a rogue pony tail), and stay firmly in your ears with the assistance of a wing. I use the medium foam ear pieces and the sport clip that shortens the wire and it works wonderfully for a trip to the gym or a hard run outside. I will end up having to purchase more of the foam ear pieces because I use mine a lot and they do wear and tear after a while, but that is just a sign of love and use. The actual technology is supremely reliable and high quality. Also, this is the first pair of headphones that gives me a warning when they are going to die and I get a power update every time I turn them on (100%, 60%, 20%, etc). If you are looking for new headphones, the price may give you sticker shock, but I am a firm believer in making an investment in the headphones you wear working out and running. If you are an avid fitness enthusiast, these are a piece you will use almost every single day and you want to make sure the sound, fit, and quality get you through each workout. Headphones are a tool - just like you wouldn't invest in bad workout clothes, shoes, accessories, etc., you want to invest in a good pair of headphones. It is worth it in the long run (see what I did there ;)).
Review for Urban Decay The Vice Palette - 6 months, 1 week ago

The Vice palette is SO much fun! Love the colors and the pigments last all day. The product is easy to apply, but make sure you are meticulous with the application because the bold colors can be fairly unforgiving if you go too heavy or veer off track. But even then, just strip the color and reapply. The results are worth it. I would definitely recommend this palette to anyone looking for bold, fun colors. Urban Decay makes wonderful eye shadows and the bold colors are a fun addition to any collection.
