We tried Blue Apron for about six months and overall it was a great service. I'm a culinary doofus so it was honestly fun and exciting getting the meal boxes, which included detailed instruction cards with informational blurbs and beautiful food pictures ~and~ perfectly portioned ingredients. I'm often overwhelmed by meal planning and finding new recipes to try, but Blue Apron definitely expanded my delicious horizons. Really great mix of ingredients that are both familiar and exotic (to this newbie) and the cooking steps were super easy to follow, using standard cooking tools I already had in my kitchen.
There were two or three times that an ingredient we were sent was less than fresh but Blue Apron customer service was really accommodating, and none of the meals were ruined due to said ingredients being omitted from the recipes.
We ordered the two person meal option (instead of the four person) and the portions were quite large and satisfying. We're a family of six so we try really hard to be economical with grocery shopping (who knew four growing boys, like, never stop eating?!) but for the convenience and deliciousness, we still like paying a little more once in a while for a Blue Apron box. We frequently cook recipes we've received in past boxes, too!
I'm not a lipstick gal, mostly because my experience with lipstick has been less than stellar. It always ends up fading, like, immediately upon application. Plus I have little thin lips so I was always like "what's the point?"
But then this little gem leaped into my cart one day (shade 29) and I fell right in love. Besides being a knockout color (bright magenta with a blue-ish sheen) it stays. for. days. No fading. Plus it doesn't feel like I just dusted my lips with chalk, which is a plus.
These diapers are the only brand we've purchased for the past two years that consistently keep the yucky stuff in (even at night) with the rare exception during particularly thirsty days. They're the best value/quality for store brand diapers (forget about Walmart, CVS, Walgreens brands, seriously). Started purchasing these once our supply of name-brand diapers ran out, and found them to be as good as, if not better than those. Loveeeee them.
I'm pretty sure my two year old son doesn't pee more than the average toddler, but I've never had luck with overnight diapers, and especially Huggies brand. He always leaks through. The diapers are super soft compared to some brands, but that's of little consolation when saturated with tinkle.
Not to be the Debbie Downer here, but these are pretty sub-par to other dill pickle potato chips out there (I'm looking at you, Snyder of Berlin Vlasic dill pickle chips). These don't have that back-of-the-jaw zap I crave from actual pickles; they're pretty mellow in comparison. I've been a pickle-chipaholic since I was, like, five years old, so I'm confident in my qualification to guide you in your pickle chip purchase decision making: if you're looking for a true-to-life, fresh out of the jar, puckery-delicious experience, these probably won't do it for you.
Once upon a time there were Koala Yummies from my childhood, and then years later I became an adult and found Hello Panda and rejoiced. While I prefer the chocolate flavor, I still enjoy strawberry. I love the texture of the cookie bit on the outside, and that weird kind cold-feeling cream action once you bite into it. It was always difficult for me to eat adorable pandas doing adorable panda things, but I get over it pretty quickly because they're delicious.
The retail stores are big huge cluster-effs, have you noticed that? Forget walking in there wanting to find something specific because you'll be looking for hoursss. Besides that, the clothing is cute, generally, for as ridiculous as fashion is these days (belly shirts and high waisted jeans though barrrrrrrrf). I'm real into the super cheap section where you can get tank tops for, like, two bucks.
I received this in my #MKGlam VoxBox. I was pretty smitten with the color of this lip gloss until I put it on; it felt smooth at first, but then the stickiness set in. I did realize this wouldn't be as pigmented as lipstick, but the color seems to kind of disappear after not too long, yet the sticky remained. I can't imagine using this and doing anything other than rubbing my lips together obsessively... I don't hate this product, but I don't see myself using it.
