The price point and color are fantastic. However, I found this liquid lipstick to be unbearably drying - it cracked and crumbled on my lips just a short time after application. I prepped my lips as I normally would, and I didn't engage in any excessive eating/drinking. If I'm using a liquid lipstick, I expect less maintenance than a traditional bullet. I wish it would have worked for me, but this product just wasn't a good fit for me.
I think of these like watercolors for your lips. The formula is a true stain, so thinner and more watery than a liquid lipstick, but with similar color payoff. I love that stains don't crumble like liquid lipsticks as they wear down. Because of the consistency, it's more difficult to get a crisp lip line, so I don't take this all the way to the edges, and instead use a lip liner to bridge the gap. I really like this formula and wish I had more colors!
If you're looking for a more affordable alternative to mid-range liquid lipsticks, this is a great option. The applicator makes it easy to maneuver around the contours of your lips, and the color payoff was true to tube for me. A bit of balm beforehand definitely makes a difference; this is one of the more drying liquid lipsticks I've tried.
This is a wonderful, non-sticky gloss. I like that it makes my lips feel hydrated, not dry, after a few hours of wear. However, if you're looking for something with true plumping power, I can't say this actually increased the fullness of my lips -- even temporarily. For that reason, it's not personally worth the price tag for me.
Nothing holds a candle to Double Wear when it comes to longevity and coverage. When applied in thin layers, it's lightweight and easily holds up to oil while not emphasizing dry patches. I stipple it on, and out the door I go. I've tried others throughout the years, but I keep coming back to ELDW! HG, for sure.
I keep a tube of this on my vanity - it's an essential step in my morning routine. I love the slanted applicator and its healing properties. Whether it's dry, chapped lips from winter winds or just a few too many days of liquid lipsticks, it's a lifesaver. I also use it on my cuticles.
I love this concept - it's a true time-saver, and it really does provide long-lasting moisture. Be mindful to rinse the bottom of your bathtub after use. It can become a bit of a slip-n-slide for the next user if you don't!
