I wish there was a higher scrubby bit to butter ratio. This is excellent for moisturizing since there's a ton of body butter in here, but I can only ever get one or two good uses out of it because I have to apply a lot to get the exfoliation I want.
This is hands down my holy grail brow gel. I have naturally thick, dark brow hair so I don't like overdoing it with pomade or powder, and this gives me the perfect amount of definition, hold, and also helps to mask sparse areas, which you can see on my left brow in my picture. The formula is pretty wet when you crack open a new tube so make sure you use a light hand, but several months into use it does become a lot drier, which I actually prefer because it allows me to press it into the skin to mimic hairs.
Out of all the tinted brow gels I've tried, and there have been MANY, the Black Boy Brow is definitely my favorite.
I really did like the eyeshadow when I had it, even though I never really used it because the shade is what I would describe as a velvety guacamole. Even though this is a matte shade, it's not a flat matte - there is a fine microshimmer suspended in the matte pigment which keeps it from looking flat and chalky. The pigment was amazing, as was the texture and blending ability.
I remember being really enchanted with these when I first got into makeup, but as my tastes have expanded I'm just not that into them anymore. The shade range is amazing, but there is a bit of quality control with the textures. Some are pretty decent, but I find that most have a very slippery, almost greasy texture that causes the pigment to "skip" a bit (Strawberry Milk being one of them). The pigment, by rule of thumb, is pretty good, but the slick texture means that I have to keep applying these hourly.
These things are hands down my favorite lipstick formula ever. Period. They're light weight, moisturizing, smooth, and pigmented as hell. They smell and taste great, and are by far the most comfortable lip product I've used. My only gripe is that there isn't more shades!
As far as stains go, this one was pretty meh. It had a strong scent and taste to it and left my lips in real need of some balm. I'm happy that the drugstore got out of the pen lip stain craze in favor of balm stains. I do have to say that the felt tip did allow for very precise product application, and the stain left behind was very long lasting though... which is good if you managed to make it not patchy.
The shadows in here are fantastic (great pigmentation and blendability), but the shade selection is dismal. 4 light shades and 2 deep does not a flattering eye look make! This honestly works best when paired with the other Naked Basics.
These are some of the best, no, THE best deal for 3 shadows at the drugstore. Most are effing amazing, with a few duds... rarely. Tons of pigmentation, blendability, and just general rad-ness. I wish there were mattes in the trios though... that's the only thing that's missing.
