My Osprey Tempest 22 from REI is my all time favorite hiking pack. It has the perfect balance of both space and functional ability. This is the perfect pack for a day hike in New England! REIs customer service made it a seamless process to figure out which pack was right for me, and it was on my doorstep in less than a week in perfect condition!

Although some of my coworkers called it Really Expensive Inside, I value the experienced and expert opinions of the staff in the store or online. I have been a member for decades. Getting the right gear to use is paramount to success and in the end it saves money and time. I have not been let down by my purchases. Orders come quickly if it's not in stock at my local REI store. I find the REI branded items a good value especially at their price point. Sure some of the name branded items are "better" but the cost point is often not worth it.
