This product gets a light four stars from me. I have fine hair and have to be careful about what I put in it, because it can make it look greasy or weigh it down. I can use this product, but not as directed, which I'll explain later. I'll go on into my pros and cons!
I love the smell! It does smell like a hair product but in a nice way. Even the next morning, when I'm sweating through a workout, I can smell the scent return, which I love. The biggest pro for me was unexpected. The first time I dried my hair with the product in, I found that it made my hair look and feel thicker and more voluminous, which is something I'm always looking for in a product. I don't think the packaging mentioned that so it was a pleasant surprise!
I can't say I see a load of difference when I let my hair air dry after using this product. The biggest difference I can feel is that it takes away any tangles. I can easily run my fingers through my hair after applying this.
I apply it by using about the size of a nickle in my palm, rubbing my hands together to spread it out into wet hair, and then only applying to the ends of my hair, including the back and underneath. I can't apply it to the roots or it'll be greasy looking. I usually get a tiny bit on the hair that frames my face but it's easy to put too much and then you're left with it looking unclean the rest of the day, so using the right amount is key.
I'll probably buy this product again, as long as it keeps making my hair look better when I dry it with the dryer. I'll have to use it a little longer to see if it actually protects against damage, but overall, I like the product!
I've tried quite a few lip moisturizers but this is the best one I've found! Once applied, it lasts a long time on my lips so I don't have to reapply often. It has a nice texture and feels good on the lips. There's no scent, but that's fine by me. It's quick and easy to apply and I don't go anywhere without it! Another thing I like about this chapstick is how the packaging opens. Most chapsticks have you pull a small cap off but on this one, the cap is large like a lipstick, which is very easy to open. I sometimes have cracked, sore fingers, or am silly enough to apply lotion before putting my chapstick on, which makes opening the product difficult. I don't have any problems with this one, though!
This chapstick is also fine for applying beneath lipsticks, especially matte. I often reapply it over my lipsticks as the day goes on and this also works fine. The best thing I can say about this product is that after using it for a week or two, I've seen an improvement in my lips. With other products, my lips would still feel very dry between applications. Now, my lips are soft all the time. I can see myself buying this again, easily!
I received this sponge as a gift for Christmas, and I was pretty excited to give it a go since I'd never tried a sponge before. I was very happy with the result! This sponge isn't marketed for being for foundation, but that's how I use it, and it works perfectly fine for that. I use a thicker liquid foundation and I was happy to see that the sponge didn't soak up a lot of product (I do use the sponge damp). I was worried about getting a lighter coverage but that wasn't a problem at all. I usually use a brush by the same brand to apply foundation but I found that this sponge gave a much more natural look and feel and my skin just felt better after using it.
Another pleasant surprise is that I found it much quicker to apply my make-up than using a brush. Something else I really didn't expect is that I found the foundation didn't settle into my laugh lines as much when applying with this sponge! No idea why, but I was well pleased with that!
I did try applying my concealer with the smaller end of the sponge, but I didn't feel that I got as good coverage like that as I do with my fingers. The sponge seemed to soak up more of that than the foundation, so I'll pass on using it for that. I may give it another try at some point, though.
Overall, I'm very happy with this product and would look into getting more sponges by Real Techniques in the future!
I'll firstly say I received this product free from Influenster in exchange for an honest review! Otherwise, I would have been tempted but probably not have purchased.
What I like about this product is that it's easy to apply and unique. Even when applied to my roots, my hair doesn't end up looking greasy, which is something every other conditioner does to me. However, it does make my hair very flat at the roots when used there.
So, I also tried just using the conditioner on the ends of my hair, which is how I have to use other conditioners. A little bit of the flatness was resolved but not all, which was mostly caused by the matching shampoo. Unfortunately, even though I can still feel the conditioner in my hair before it dries, it does absolutely nothing for me. Once dried, it's like it was never there.
I gave it one star because while it doesn't make my hair greasy, I think this is also part of why it doesn't do anything. I, unfortunately, would not make this conditioner part of my routine.
I'll start by saying I received this product for free from Influenster in exchange for an honest review! The first thing I'll address is the packaging; it's gorgeous. It's the prettiest bottle I've seen for shampoo! The cap is designed so that it's easy to open and close, unlike some bottles I've used before.
I'll next talk about things I did like. This shampoo smells really nice, and it's subtle, which I like. I wouldn't mind if the smell stayed in my hair a bit longer but this is really personal preference. After lathering up, it rinses out quickly, which I love. Upon the first use, this shampoo made my hair shinier, which other people noticed enough to comment on without my asking. I've never had a shampoo do that before! My hair did indeed feel and look very clean after use, even after just one wash.
Now, on to what I didn't like. Unfortunately, this shampoo left my hair very flat. I already have fine hair, so I really didn't enjoy how it made my hair look even more flat to my head. I'm not sure if it made my hair feel dry or just not nourished as it usually is with my regular shampoos. Either way, it left me feeling that something was missing even though I used the matching conditioner with it.
That said, I think this shampoo has its uses. I think it would be good to clarify your hair, if you've been using a lot of product and want a good clean to get everything out. I'd use this only on days when I'm staying in, considering how it flattens my hair. This would be great for people that feel they have too much volume in their hair! In the end, I took off two stars because I couldn't use this as a daily product, but I would keep it around to use now and then for a deeper clean.
I'm really surprised to come on and see all the great reviews this product has, because my experience was nothing like that. The cherry scent is surprisingly nice but that's all I can say for it. I often have very dry hands that can crack if I'm not extra careful, so I always look for moisturizing hand washes. I picked this one up very cheap; as others say, you can get it at the Dollar Tree. Within days of starting to use this soap, I developed four new cracks on my fingers. Before trying this soap, I've only had one crack at a time this winter. Not only did it crack them, but each time afterwards that I washed my hands with this soap, the cracks would sting with a fury. I gave up on it and switched back to my normal brand, which doesn't sting, at the very least. Now I'm on to trying to heal these suckers, and will never purchase this soap again! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with dry skin issues.
This is my favorite lip balm! It feels moisturizing without having that thick feeling, and I always apply it before bed and throughout the day when home. This was my gateway product to trying lipsticks, as well. It gives you just enough color to be able to tell you're wearing something and to make your lips look nice while looking natural. I love these and will definitely buy again! I'm looking forward to trying more shades!
I was unfortunately not a fan of this product. I bought the shade 405 "Doesn't Matte-r", and on sight, it looks like a deep, warm, maroon color, but once applied, it looked too pink for my tastes. Fair enough, color selection was my mistake, so I won't take any stars for that. However, the formula was extremely drying on my lips. Once applied, it wasn't long before it felt like I had absolutely nothing on my lips, and was uncomfortable. The color itself lasts for ages, even after trying to rub it off, and I see that as a bonus if you like the color. Overall, it doesn't do it for me, and I'd be hesitant to buy their matte lipsticks again.
I previously wrote a review a bit back but would like to update it after using the product for a longer amount of time. At first, I didn't think much of the product but have changed my mind with more use!
I bought the shade "caramel", thinking it had a lovely color, but when I started using it, realized it had no color whatsoever once applied. At first, I didn't like that because I wanted it to double as a lipstick, but now I simply use it as a balm, and I'm happy with it for that. It goes on easily, feels nice on the lips, and it stays on my lips a pretty decent amount of time. I've found that having this product around rather than my usual lip balm encourages me to use it more often. At first I just wanted to use it up but now I enjoy applying it and enjoy how moisturizing it feels.
I have also tried the shade "soda", and found that it had more color pigmentation, but that it wasn't as moisturizing. If you're using this as a balm, I would definitely recommend the color "caramel", or number 3! As an aside, the packaging is pretty and I like that it's a square shape, so it won't roll away. Originally I said I wouldn't repurchase the product but I've changed my mind, and I probably would!
I like this palette quite a bit! The first thing I noticed about it is that the shades look very natural on my skin. They're not super pigmented, so you can apply lightly or go back in for more, either way. The shade of the blush is nice, though I tend to lean towards a more peach color, personally. The brush is pretty useless, in my opinion, but I'm sure it could be used for the highlighter, which I just use my finger for. I've been using the product for a good long while now and have hardly made a dent in it, so it lasts a long time! The packaging is very convenient and easy to use. I'd definitely recommend this to beginners who would like to ease in to contouring, but I'm sure anyone would be happy with it!
