I'm Stephanie! Grad student, baker and cake decorator turned wife. I'm constantly on the go- whether I'm going to classes, delivering cakes, nannying, volunteering in the elementary schools, or trying out new recipes on my wonderful [but OH SO PICKY] husband, Mitch.
I love Hampton hotels for quick overnight visits when I won’t be in town long enough to explore local attractions and restaurants. Every time I’ve gone my rooms have always been clean, workroom rooms and pools were always available, the staff had been helpful, and a hot breakfast was always offered so I could grab a quick bite to eat before hitting the road again.
My first experience with Marriott Hotels was the Marriott Crystal City in Washington, D.C. and it (and all following experiences) never disappointed. Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, fun amenities, and clean rooms. Also- THE most comfortable bed I ever slept on! Truly.
My family and I continuously choose Holiday Inn any time we visit Gatlinburg, TN because it’s walking distance to many restaurants and shops, it’s always clean, the hotel staff has been friendly yet non-intrusive each time we visited, and they offer clean pools, laundry facilities and a fantastic onsite restaurant if you’re looking to stay in for the night!
Honestly, I buy this deodorant because it’s the cheapest one I can find that still smells great and keeps me dry all day. If you’re like me an love a bargain, or if you’re looking for something cheap to throw in a travel bag, look no further!
I got this product complimentary in a VoxBox earlier this year (or maybe last year?) and loved it. I still love it. I used it this morning! It makes my hair shiny, tames some of the insane flyaways, and leaves my hair feeling soft. Personally, I have it four stars instead of fave only because I don’t care for the smell of it- but the smell of VERY mild and not noticeable after applied.
Pyrex is my all-time favorite storage container. Despite the fact that they’re more fragile than plastic storage ware, they can be more thoroughly cleaned, they don’t leave behind a plastic-y smell or flavor, and they’re safer for microwave reheating. I’ve never had a bad experience with Pyrex that wasn’t my own fault.
My husband bought me a pack of these on Black Friday shortly after we were married that contained multiple bowls and lids in about 4-5 different sizes and they’re still one of my favorite things he’s ever bought for me (and us). They’re durable, they can be filled with liquid (like soup) and tossed into a lunch box and not spill a bit. You can fill them with bulk meats or veggies and toss them in the freezer and pull them out weeks later still as fresh. They’re amazing.
Half containers are okay, and definitely get the job done, but I prefer other brands (Rubbermaid, Pyrex) that have thicker, more durable lids. In my experience Glad lids are more prone to sliding off the bowl and making messes when you don’t want them to.
While I typically bargain shop when I can (which often means avoiding name brands) I have more luck with Ziplock products when it comes to preventing frost and freezer burn on frozen foods and make/ahead meals.
