I have an oily t-zone, enlarged pores through my t-zone, and some texture/acne/acne scarring around my face so I was excited to give this a shot. I first applied it with a damp beauty blender and got medium coverage if I used enough (2-2.5 pumps; best coverage with 3 pumps, however cakey looking) and could build it up a tiny bit without without foundation coming up/moving, but it still didn't cover the redness of a few acne blemishes. It camouflaged a little bit of my texture but did not fill about half of my enlarged pores on my cheeks and none of those on the side of my nose even with a lot of product pressed in. I applied Maybelline fit me loose powder on top of my entire face with a beauty blender to set it. Yes, it had a few of those white dot things (I didn't use a primer underneath) but they disappeared after applying powder. About 4-5 hours into wear I could see oil coming through on my t zone. About 5-6 hours into wear my t-zone was oily looking with separation of product around/on my nose. By the end of the work day (about 12 hours of wear) it was broken up and textured looking all throughout my t-zone.
I also tried applying it with a brush and with pore filling primers (mostly Becca ever-matte poreless primer) and powder on top. With these I feel like I got a tiny bit more coverage (needed to use 3 pumps). When first applied it looks flawless but a little cakey around the nose. The pores on my cheeks remained minimized toward the end of the day. However the pores on my nose became enlarged looking again, the foundation on my nose became more cakey looking and separated, and oil still came through all over my t-zone around hour 6 (photos are at hour 12 with brush, primer and powder application).
Not satisfied with the performance based on what it's advertised to do. The "lightest" shade isn't light enough and very yellow. The only pros are that it sets quickly to a light, dry feeling finish, other makeup blends ok on top, it is pretty transfer proof, it comes in a large range of shades (although mainly pink and yellow undertones-no neutrals) , it doesn't dry or oxidize much darker, and it has a pump applicator.
This liner is amazing. I've been using it for a few months. The tip is still in good shape and it's not drying out yet. It's the perfect thickness and the perfect flexibility to follow the contour of your eye and create a flawless wing. It has a dark, matte black finish, never transfers or smudges, and lasts all day. It doesn't get patchy or come off when you add more to thicken your line like some liquid liners. I don't think I've been using it long enough to notice a difference in my lashes yet.
I tried this a few years ago for breaks for my face when I didn't want to wear full makeup. I had severe cystic acne but it never made it worse. If anything it helped soothe my skin a little. It hydrates the skin without leaving it feeling greasy. The finish is dewy and it provides minimal coverage, which is why I give it 4 stars rather than 5. The smell is pretty strong, like a fresh smelling sunblock.
I've tried the photo ready pore reducing primer. I have large pores all around my nose and forehead with an oily t-zone and was hoping this would be an answer to my problems. Unfortunately I feel like it doesn't fill my pores in very well or give a great base. I'm better off just using my Revlon colorstay foundation and blending well with a damp sponge. The primer makes my skin feel slimy and makes a lot of pores more prominent as my foundation and primer settle in. It doesn't blur imperfections or increase the wear time of my foundation. If anything it makes them worse.
There's a reason all the beauty gurus love this mascara. It gives more length and volume than other volumizing mascaras I've tried. It doesn't smudge onto my top or lower lid throughout the day even though it isn't waterproof. If I curl my lashes they hold their shape all day with it. It doesn't get clumpy like the waterproof version does and comes off gently with face wash.
This is a pretty great deodorant. I have it in the stress control scent and it gets the job done. Occasionally I can smell it when I become more active but it has a very subtle clean scent. I tend to stress sweat a lot and it's not more helpful under those circumstances compared to other deodorants. It leaves white marks like a typical solid deodorant.
This is the best pre-made sweet tea at the grocery store. It's the perfect sweetness and always a great price. It's great for small get togethers or when you don't feel like going through the fuss of making it yourself. I like keeping some in the fridge in the summer.
This is a great drugstore felt tipped eyeliner. The tip is the perfect length and flexibility for a precise wing. The blackest black is opaque and dries matte very quickly. It's pretty budge proof and I've never had a problem with it feathering or smudging. The only frustrating thing is the very tip of it does harden and dry pretty quickly, making for a messy application if you're not careful.
I just got this brow pencil a week ago because it's one of the drugstore ones recommended by Tati Westbrook. I love that it has a spoolie on it. The tip of the pencil is nice and thin for a more precise, natural finish, but I'm still trying to work on filling in my inner brows so it fades and looks natural. I'm super excited the brunette color turned out perfect for me - it isn't too light or dark.
