Review for Herbal Essences Rosemary & Herbs Shampoo - 10 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
This shampoo works. It made my hair feel clean but not stripped of moisture. Right on the label it says it's free of silicones, parabens, and colorants. I didn't even have to scan the ingredients like I always do (and did anyway). I'm so gratified that Herbal Essence is paying attention to the market niche for light cleansing without breaking the bank. My dry, curly hair and wallet are thrilled! The scent is also light and pleasant and I like that the company is buying renewable energy credits.

Review for Herbal Essences Rosemary & Herbs Foam Conditioner - 10 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
I'm a little conflicted on this conditioner. It's curl friendly but despite the label on the matching shampoo that it's silicone-free, it doesn't brag about that on this label like it does with parabens and colorants. But it IS silicone-free so that's a big win in my book. It's also really fun - the foam expands just like shaving cream. I needed to use A LOT of it though just to coat my hair, and it didn't give it the same slippery feeling most conditioners do so it was no easier to brush out in the shower. After using it my hair felt dry and tangle-prone, so for me it didn't work. I have very dry, curly hair though so I need some serious conditioning. I think for a kid or someone with basic hair needs this might work.

Review for ZenniOptical.com - 1 year ago
I've ordered several pairs of glasses with nice lenses from ZenniOptical. With their generous coupons I've never paid over $40 for a pair. Their photo preview feature has been great to find frames that suit my face (though I recommend going in with a good idea of what you want). My current frames are so cute I have to tell people all the time where I got them - the other day I was even asked to write it down!

Review for: 1.0N Very Fair more...
This has become my new HG foundation, replacing all my mid-range staples. I use it over the matching primer from The Ordinary and the finish it gives is beautiful and skinlike. I was expecting it to be very light coverage, but it's more medium and buildable. It easily covers up my redness. Still, it doesn't feel heavy. It doesn't feel like much of anything at all. It doesn't oxidize, it doesn't smell weird, and it's about an eighth the price of what I had been using. Love it!

The ingredient list neglected to mention "dog crack," but it must contain it because these things are apparently highly addictive. My dog likes a lot of treats but nothing beats these dog cookies. I love them because they're healthy!
Review for Dia & Co - 1 year, 4 months ago
I tried Dia & Co. and Stitch Fix for plus and I liked Dia & Co. much better. The style profile is more in depth and allows you to add pictures. From box one I was getting things that fit great, and it went from being near my style to being bang on. I routinely keep entire boxes now.
Review for SauceBox Cosmetics Mermaid Life Palette - 1 year, 4 months ago

This is my favorite shimmer palette. The colors are beautiful and intense, and even better foiled. They're soft but don't have a lot of dusty kickup or fallout. They blend like a dream without becoming muddy. Best of all, they LAST! This stuff is bulletproof. I wore it out for pride and it was faded but still looking good after 16 hours of sweating outside, getting stuck in the rain, and dancing. While the palette is expensive the pans are HUUUUUUUUUGEEEEEEEE. It'll last me forever and a day, then I'll repurchase. Also, despite being vegan and CF, the purple is one of the best in the game!

Review for: I've Kissed more...
I love lipstick and when I saw the gorgeous packaging on these I knew I had to have at least one. I now have one, but I think it's going to stay that way. While the tube is beautiful and fun, and the lipstick is a good formula, it didn't become a new holy grail.

My biggest problem with these is color. Perhaps I should have waited to see more swatches, but the color I received is nothing like it looked online or how it was described. I ordered "I've Kissed," a "pink lilac," and it's quite warm. I'd accept that it might just pull peachy on me, but even in the tube it's just... not lilac at all.

Next issue, the size of the product. I knew going into it that it was .9g, but I need to reiterate that that's _very small_. It's like deluxe sample size. The refills make it look like they might have a decentish amount of product, but they're only filled half the way up.

The packaging on this IS quite beautiful, but it's not quite as hefty as I'd expected. It also doesn't stand upright as easily as I would have thought. Still though, beautiful, slim, perfect. Love it. Despite the outrageous cost per gram I'll probably refill this when I run out.

As for the good, the formula on this is nice. This color was opaque in one coat, and while it comes off with food, it lasted a good four to six hours without touch ups while not eating. Application is very easy, as the small surface allows you to be very precise.

While this is fun, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're already into luxury(ish) lipsticks. The formula, while good, is nothing special. If you want one nice lipstick (or to start a collection), either NARS Audacious Lipstick or  Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick will make you feel similarly fancy, have as good (or better) a formula, and each tube has 4x as much product. If you want a fancy tube, there are fancier (I see you, The History of Whoo).

Review for Coppertone Clearly Sheer Whipped Sunscreen Spf 50 5 oz - 1 year, 5 months ago
I got the worst sunburn of my life using this. I applied this as recommended before leaving the house when I went swimming. It says it's water resistant up to 80 minutes so I figured no problem. Still, I'm fair so I reapplied every 30-45 minutes while I was out. I was shocked when I got home to see how very red I was! Painful! But okay, I figured it just wasn't as waterproof as claimed, so I used it again to work outside and this time I got blisters after less than an hour! Does this do anything?!?

Aside from its failures at sun protection, I hate this. It's soooo sticky and it takes forever to dry. Even when it does you're left feeling tacky. It's also hard to get out of the bottle and it makes a huge mess. Not only would I not buy this again, I'm not even going to finish this bottle.
