I purchased this at the start of June and it has been my go to lipstick since. Normally I reach for matte and satin finishes, however I picked this up on a whim and I am so glad I did. The shade is the perfect nude for me. It has a hint of pink but is mostly a soft brown tone on my lips. The cream finish has just the right balance of creaminess with staying power so it lasts for a good amount of time and stays comfortable and lightweight the entire time. Overall I highly recommend it.
I haven't used many lip liners in the past as a lot which I have tried are too hard and pull at my lips making it difficult to get a good finish. I purchased this in a set along with the Whirl lipstick and I have been very impressed by it. It has a creamy feel which allows it to glide along the lips very smoothly creating a neat line. It's also more than creamy enough to be used to fill in the entire lips to help the staying power of the lipstick applied over it. When I use this, the lipstick last for hours through eating and drinking with less wear than if the lipstick is used alone. I fully recommend this if you have found other lip liners too dry and hard, especially in the shade Whirl which is a very versatile nude shade that can be used with many other lipsticks.
Review for: Revlon PhotoReady 3D Volume Mascara Black (Pack of 2) more...
This was a long term favourite mascara for me. I purchased it regularly and rarely tried anything else because it gave the perfect amount of volume and length without clumps for me. I was very disappointed when this was discontinued, especially as I had a bad reaction to the new mascaras which have been released and can't use any of them without my eye becoming very sore and itchy.
I have 4 shades of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams, 2 are fairly neutral your-lips-but-better shades and the other two are brighter pink shades. All 4 which I have tried have good colour pay off with one swipe and are very easy and comfortable to apply. The applicator is a good shape for precise application without any need to swap to a brush. However, the issue with these is that, for the product to be comfortable there is a trade off on wear and bleeding. The lip creams don't fully dry and for this reason, they bleed a little and they wear off on me within a couple of hours. For this reason, I think they make a good liquid lipstick for beginners or someone with very dry lips and for the price they are fantastic to test if colours suit you, but with the lack of longer staying power I don't reach for them very often and there are better liquid lipsticks available for not much higher cost.
I fially decided to try this as my holy grail Revlon mascara was discontinued and it had been called a dupe of the They're Real mascara so I wanted to try this hoping it would be a replacement. Sadly I was left disappointed. It did add a bit of length but it just wasn't spectacular and I could get a better result from lower priced mascaras. It might be that the hype gave me expectations that were too high, but either way it's not for me and I won't repurchase.
I have tried a lot of micellar waters and so far this is without a doubt the best one for my skin. The majority of others that I have tried, despite being marketed for sensitive skin, made my skin very dry and on the verge of an eczema flare up but I had absolutely no problems with this. I tend to use this when I'm wearing heavier/waterproof eye makeup or if I am travelling and not as an everyday day makeup remover as I prefer an oil based balm everday. For the occasional use it's perfect and doesn't seem too pricy, it removes all makeup, waterproof included, very quickly.
I regularly purchase the Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner treatments because they are incredibly good at adding moisture and softness to my hair when it's feeling particularly dry and dull. I especially like the colour conditioning 3 minute miracle because it really does boost the shine in my colour treated hair and leave it looking healthier. I use this once a week to keep my hair nourished without weighing it down and it was even recomended by my hair dresser to use in the lead up to a colour appointment so my hair was in a good condition for the treatment. Overall I definitely recommend this to give dull hair a boost.
I had a small sample size of this from a Christmas gift set. I have used it several times but overall I don't think it's for me. I do think it left my lips looking a little plumper however, it wore off quite quickly with me so it may just have been the illusion of wearing a gloss when I'm used to matte products. The tingling from the plumping ingredients wasn't excessive and went away quite quickly so it's definitely manageable. The element about this which really didn't appeal to me was the smell. I found it very unpleasant and it makes me not want to use it and it's the main reason I wouldn't repurchase.
I have sworn by Burt's Bees lip balms for many years now. They are incredibly moisturising and transform my dry cracking lips overnight. What's more, the twist bottom tube formula is very easy and fuss free to use so you aren't having to dip your finger in a tub and are then left with the residue onyour hands after. I particularly love the refreshing flavour of the pink grapefruit scent and return to it time and time again.
I have been using this for a year and a half now, it's perfect for my skin which is both eczema and blemish prone as it's gentle and moisturising enough for the eczema without being too heavy for blemishes. The product is pretty much fragrance free so there are no ingredients to cause irritation.
