“I embrace being a woman in STEM because I want to prove that women can be successful leaders in the technology industry and encourage young students into the field. I dream of a future world, where more and more women will engage themselves in the STEM field through their knowledge and power. The Influenster scholarship encourages me to continue working on my passion projects outside of work. Thank you for your support."

“I’ve often stood on the receiving end of gender disparity in the STEM field. Not once have I let myself feel less competent, and the Influenster scholarship is exactly the continued seed to my motivation. I am a huge believer in that engineering can impact lives to a greater extent, and one’s gender should never be a limiting factor in contributing to the field you feel passionate about. As the President of Boston University Engineering Student government, I have only encouraged more female representation in thoughts, perspectives and real contributions in the society that we are part of and the distant community that we are connected to. I have practiced that very idea by being involved in the STEM outreach program for high school students through Technology Innovation Scholars Program. With the help of the Influenster Scholarship, I’ll be able to turn my dream into a reality by using my engineering background to continue doing cancer research and work with some of the most underprivileged population of cancer patients in Peru this August."

“Receiving the 2018 Influenster Women in STEM Scholarship Award has supported my efforts to mentor and encourage other women in STEM around me. As an executive member of Penn State's chapter of the Society of Women Engineers and an influential mentor through Penn State's Women in Engineering Program, it is important to me to promote diversity and encourage young women in STEM to pursue impactful opportunities. I want to deliver confidence, support, and inspiration, and I can't wait to encourage and empower the next generation of women in STEM. Thank you for your support, Influenster!"
