Review for belif Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask - 3 weeks, 4 days ago

I absolutely adore this product!! I had been a little lax on my skincare recently and my skin was feeling dry and had lost its smoothness, so when I was getting back into it I used this product for a couple nights over my regular moisturizer. Even after the first night there was already marked improvement, and with a couple uses my skin was feeling refreshed and hydrated. The product feels nice and cooling on the skin. There is a slight tacky feeling after application but it's very minor, and it doesn't feel heavy on top of my nighttime moisturizer which is already thick by itself. I'm so happy to have this product on hand as we move into the dry, winter months. It'll be such a life saver! Thank you, Influenster and belif, for selecting me for this VoxBox.

Review for Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo - 3 weeks, 4 days ago

Review for: Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo more...
I'm so torn about this product. It's one of the first dry shampoos I fell in love with as it really does zap the oils out of my hair and gives volume. After going back to Batiste for a minute to save some money, I bought a travel-sized version of the Drybar while I waited for another dry shampoo to arrive that I wanted to test out, and I remembered what put me off from Drybar. I feel like it leaves behind so much residue even after you work it in the hair, definitely don't wipe your hands on anything black after you initially work it in! I also feels like I feel it on my scalp more than other dry shampoos. It absolutely does what you want out of a dry shampoo, but I don't think I can use it on the daily, more for those last couple days before my next shower when I really need to soak up the oils.

Review for Fitbit Versa Smartwatch - 1 month, 1 week ago
Review for: Peach / Rose Gold Aluminum more...
I have been a loyal Fitbit fan for several years now, starting with the Fitbit Flex and then the Charge and Charge 2. The Versa has been my favorite yet. It’s surprisingly lightweight, I barely even notice that it’s there! I also love the customizability of the watch faces. My nerd heart was happy to find a LCARS face.

There are a couple cons I have:
- The bands are the biggest pain to change. The one in the photo, a leather band I got off eBay, has been the easiest due to being so thin. The typical silicone bands are a challenge, so fair warning.
- I’m anxious for more apps, particularly in the music department. Currently your options are Pandora and Deezer (which I’d never heard of before now). I would absolutely adore Spotify being an option! Along this same line, iOS users can currently read texts but cannot respond to them.

For these couple things, I took off a star, but I’m certain there will be future improvements. I do really like this as a nice “I want an Apple Watch but I’m more fitness-minded than tech-minded” option at a pretty fair price, all things considered.
Review for Burberry London by Burberry for Women - 1 month, 1 week ago
Forever and ever my favorite perfume. I typically don’t like too floral of scents but this one is very well balanced by its notes of sandalwood, musk, and patchouli. It’s a fresh scent while also being sophisticated, and I immediately feel confident and sexy while wearing it. It has been my go-to for any big event, interview, or when I just need a pick-me-up. I also love how simplistic the bottle is!
Review for Smashbox 24 Hour Shadow Primer - 1 month, 2 weeks ago

I adore this primer. I have oily lids and everything I tried, even the Urban Decay Primer Potion that most swear by, has failed me. This keeps my eyeshadow in place all day, only failing me when my eyes get really watery (which has unfortunately been a major problem for me recently, I think it's the dry Colorado air finally catching up to me). A little goes a long way with this product and you get plenty of it in the tube, making it very worth the price.

Though speaking of the tube, this is where this product loses a star. It is not the strongest packaging. Because this is a thicker product, you have to put a little more pressure down to squeeze it out. The seam is fully ripped on my current tube, leaving the product open to bacteria and such. The packaging really needs to be stronger!

Review for Fenty Beauty Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner - 1 month, 3 weeks ago

I am stunned by this eyeliner. I was looking to replace my KVD Tattoo Liner and chose this one as it had just come out and Jackie Aina seemed to like it. The night I used it, something was irritating my eye and it watered like crazy. I expected a black mess all over my lid from the eyeliner and it had not budged one bit. Looked just as perfect as I did when I applied it. Even my KVD would fade from my outer corner other times when my eyes got incredibly watery.

The only thing to be careful of is when it has first been applied, it will still be wet and can transfer. I have hooded lids and ended up getting a line above my lid when I fully opened my eye right after application.

Review for SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen Grow & Restore Leave-In Conditioner - 1 month, 3 weeks ago

As someone with straight Caucasian hair, I want to start this review by acknowledging that this was likely not the product for me, but I wanted to share this just in case someone with my similar hair type was considering this product.

My hair is straight but dense and on the thicker side. I only wash my hair once or twice a week, but living in Colorado, I deal with dryness. I also color treat my hair so I want to keep it healthy and moisturized. I picked up a small bottle of this at TJ Maxx after I saw a friend use it. The product smells delightful, which was what first drew me in. I applied the product after towel-drying my hair and it glided on well and helped detangle my hair.

When I woke up the next morning, my hair felt nice and soft, but I noticed that my roots looked oily. Nothing a little dry shampoo couldn't fix but it is disappointing to have to use that on first day hair. I do like how the rest of my hair feels and my split ends do look diminished today. I think the keys for me will be to keep the product away from my roots and use it will a light hand over the rest of my hair.

Review for Neutrogena® Hydro Boost hydrating 100% Hydrogel Mask - 1 month, 3 weeks ago

Putting this mask on feels like getting my skin a hydration injection. My skin felt so moisturized, plump, and happy after using this mask. It comes in two parts which I find to be brilliant; positioning a full sheet mask can feel like such a chore, while this allows me to position it perfectly for my face. There are little flaps around the eye and mouth openings which I'm assuming you're supposed to put over the eyes and mouth, which I do sometimes. The mask feels very cool and refreshing, and there's plenty of liquid to slather on your face, neck, and elsewhere after. This is my favorite mask offering from the drugstore.

I didn't want to give in to this water bottle. How could almost $50 for a water bottle be worth it? Then a constant 90*+ Colorado summer hit accompanied by too many times of leaving my normal water bottle in the car and coming back to water I should boil some tea in. So, I picked one of these up and I haven't looked back. This bottle really does live up to the hype. Keeps my water--even without any ice in it--cold for hours. It also feels so solid, which is awesome when you're someone who has busted a plastic water bottle open by dropping it. While the pricetag is steep, you are paying for quality and longevity of the product. I opted for the straw lid, makes it easier to drink in the car, not that this bottle fits in my cupholders but that doesn't bother me much. The mouth piece doesn't flip open of its own accord, which was a constant pain with my Camelbak bottles. The straw they give you doesn't reach the bottom of the bottle so there will be water leftover when you open to refill, but only a couple ounces. I've fallen so in love with this water bottle that it's silly. I really would recommend it.
