I'm curious, artistic, and compassionate. I love trying new things! I subscribe to several beauty boxes and I'm always on the lookout for samples and freebies. If I find I have a strong opinion on a product I will tell everyone who seems even remotely interested lol Just the other day I asked an employee at the grocery store where they had moved their aloe drinks to and ended up recommending my favorite brand to him and suggesting several other similar products I felt he might be interested in. He was quite pleased to have some ideas of new products to try out! If I am not interested in an item I will often still request it or accept it so that I can give it to someone who I think would like it or donate it locally.
H&R Block has been handling my taxes for several years. I like the peace of mind I get from having them done by a professional. The branch near me always schedules me with the same person who did them the previous year making it feel like a more personal experience.
Sally Beauty Supply is my mini paradise lol From hair color to nail polish, you name it they have it! They have high quality products at decent prices, they frequently have sales also. The staff at my local store are amazing! Not only do these women recognize me and are very friendly and helpful, they remember my previous purchases and discussions about products in the past! I always feel like a VIP when I walk into my local Sally Beauty Supply and I always leave very pleased with my purchases and shopping experience.
I used to love A.C. Moore, I frequently attended their classes and could spend hours in the store exploring all the unique and new items the carried. The past few years have been dismal for my local store, they stopped holding many of the classes I participated in and they started to carry more novelty items like patterned socks, costume jewelry, and dozens of variations of adult coloring books. I've seen more toys than age appropriate arts and crafts supplies for kids. It's disappointing, I really miss the way the store used to be!
I'm like a kid in a candy store when I go to Michaels! They have a huge variety of arts and crafts supplies and just walking around the store is often inspiring. Their prices are a little higher than some other arts and crafts stores in my area but they carry many items I haven't been able to find anywhere else.
Audiobooks didn't have a lot of books that interested me but those that did were very easy to obtain. They get new items frequently so if they don't have anything that interests you at the moment they might very soon. It's worth checking it out regularly.
Sally Hansen Removers Kwik Off Regular is my new favorite way to remove my nail polish! It works pretty well, my only complaint is that the sponge isn't very firm so if you have stubborn polish you really want to scrub you have to maneuver it around to push it against your finger. I've used similar products in the past that have a denser, firmer sponge and they work a bit better at quickly removing your polish. The reason this product stands out is the lack of odor and drying out of your skin and nail that usually occurs with the others. This one doesn't have that strong smell to it and I was pleasantly surprised to see my fingers weren't dried out and in desperate need of lotion after using this. For me, that makes the less than ideal sponge worth it.
