Review for Kose - Clear Turn White Vitamin C Mask 5 pcs - 2 days, 5 hours ago
This was a freebie, and it took a bit of research to figure out what this mask did! This is a whitening mask by Japanese brand Kose Cosmeport, with vitamin C as the active ingredient. There are a few different whitening masks from this brand using different active ingredients, but this one is apparently targeted at freckles and other 'spots' that show up on your face. It mask applied fine, and the serum wasn't too thick or too runny, and I suppose it did 'lighten' or brighten my skin a bit. However, my acne scars/post acne marks did not seem to be any fainter, so I was a little disappointed at that. All in all, not bad, but there are probably vitamin c masks out there that work better (and are cruelty-free).

Review for Hard Candy Ginormous Lash Volumizing Mascara, 0.44 oz - 3 days, 6 hours ago
Since I've been trying out different cruelty-free drugstore mascaras to find one that suits me best, this was yet another impulse buy in my quest. But the effort seems to have finally paid off. The wand and bristles are very firm, and I can say that this is the first mascara I have every tried that is 100% clump free, even on my lackluster lashes that nothing applies well to. The length was definitely there, as well as volume, and my lashes actually held a bit of the curl after applying this formula! The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars for effectiveness is the fact that you need at least 3 good coats to build up the volume, but once you do, your lashes will definitely stay in place without looking clump! I really don't understand how anyone could have found this mascara clumpy or thick at all, and my guess is if they did, they just got a bad batch. Very happy I tried this, and would 100% recommend!

Review for Naisture Tea Tree Mask Pack - 3 days, 6 hours ago
Since my skin has been looking a little sad with blemishes lately, I pulled this mask out of the pile of free samples I have lying around. The ingredients seemed quality and effective, with tea-tree oil, AHA, witch hazel, and hyaluronic acid just to name a few; cleansing without being too stripping. Honestly, after having this on my face for about 20 mins, I can't make any claims to whether or not it treated my existing acne, but my face did feel very clean and refreshed without that tight dryness that comes with just using astringents. It was gentle and refreshing, but I could tell it was doing something to treat any blemishes that might have been forming. A shame this company isn't cruelty-free, because this sheet mask is right up my alley!

Review for Andalou Naturals Instant Clarity Clay Mask - 1 week, 3 days ago
I have been eyeing this for a while, and while I love many other Andalou Naturals products, I decided to finally give this mask a try. I used it in my pore-unclogging routine in lieu of my usual charcoal mask, and I was very surprised to find how cooling it was on my face. It didn't aggravate my acne, or make my skin feel too dry, despite that it was sucking gunk out of my pores! By far one of the gentlest clarifying clay masks I have ever used. I left it on for about 20 mins, and I do have to note that it took a while of gentle massaging with my konjac sponge to fully remove the product, but that just makes me feel that it did a good job cleaning my pores. Wouldn't be opposed to using this again!

Review for: Andalou Naturals Instant Brighten & Tighten Hydro Serum Facial Mask, 0.6 Oz
I have used a few sheet masks by this brand, but this one is by far the most effective at first glance. My skin was feeling a little lackluster after spending the day in the sun, so I decided to try and brighten it up a little with this boost of vitamin C. I have to say, after just one use, my skin did appear both visibly brighter AND tighter--as per the claims of this product. I am very impressed with sheet mask; it realy is a good pick-me-up if your skin in feeling a little dull.
I used this product for the first time a few days ago. My skin felt kind of congested after slathering it with sun screen and being in the sun all day long, so I hoped that this would help clear out my pores a bit amd calm down my breakout. It definitely felt very hydrating and soothing on my skin, and although I am not sure just how much it did for my pores, my acne didn't look as red afterwards! You'd probably need to use this a few times to determine just how effective it is, but it did make a pretty decent close impression!

Review for Shea Terra Organics Certified Organic Tamanu Face & Body Oil(2oz) - 2 weeks, 4 days ago

I've heard a lot ab out tamanu oil being great for skin brightening and fading dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Since I'm struggling with post-acne spots, I decided to give this a try. So far, I have used it once--just once, last night by dabbing it on problem areas, and then adding a little to my moisturizer. On waking up this morning, I noticed that my absolute worst post-acne spots were paler; not red and angry, just a shier shade of pink. I don't usually write a review so early into trying something (and if this ends up breaking me out, I'll see if I can edit--though it shouldn't, since it only has a comedogenic rating of 2), but I was so astounded by how well this works after ONE TRY that I needed to share my experience. DEFINITELY worth your money, and so much safer than skin bleaching products to fade discolouration. 100% recommend!

Review for SKINMISO Pore Corset Serum - 2 weeks, 4 days ago
I had the opportunity to try out this product recently, and I must say, I am in awe. If you have large pores that often causes your makeup to become cakey or look uneven, applying this 20 mins before primer will really create a far smoother base for your foundation. I also found this particularly effective after using a clay mask to extract oil and dead skin cells from my pores; it actually tightens them up, so that after the fact, gunk can't make its way into your pores so easily. Unlike many products, this serum does EXACTLY what it claims to, and I optimistically look forward to the day that this potentially becomes cruelty-free so I can purchase it for myself!

Review for: Andalou Naturals Instant Lift & Firm Hydro Serum Facial Mask, 0.6 Oz
I gave this mask a try tonight, since after spending a lot of time in the sun this week, it was looking a little dull and not as firm as usual. I absolutely LOVED how it felt; very cooling and moisturizing, and when I took it off after about twenty minutes, my skin looked and felt tighter, but not uncomfortably so. It felt very much the way the hydrating sheet mask felt, only with that added firmness--and as a bonus, my pores even looked smaller! I cannot recommend this enough, for the price, quality, and results. Great for just an evening relaxing, as well as for visible results!
I've noticed my skin has been pretty dry at night lately, so I purchased this for a little boost of hydration during the night. After using it on its own, I found that in a few hours my skin felt dry again and needed to be reapplied, but after using it following a hydrating sheet mask or another type of hydrator, I did find that it kept the moisture in my skin for much longer, and left it feeling plump and hydrated. Furthermore, the retinol in it has helped to fade my post-acne marks quite a bit! Not a bad nighttime cream for the price, the moral of the story is just to remember to use a hydrating serum underneath it!
