Review for: Porcelain more...
The color was awful, it made my dry skin oily, and it broke me out. :( So I wouldn’t really recommend. I’ve found that I can’t really buy any of the elf face products (concealer, foundation, etc) because their lightest shade is still far too dark and super yellow. I have a neutral skin tone and just like I said in their powder foundation review, this stuff looked like I smeared turmeric on my face. I don’t get whose undertone this is suited for.

Review for Sigma 'Highlight & Contour' Brush Set ($158 Value) - 10 months, 3 weeks ago

This isn’t the exact kit I got, so this is more of a general review of the brushes. I bought a huge set from these guys back in 2010-ish I believe (can’t remember exactly but it was a full thing for like $200) and up until last month I was still using those exact brushes. They held up wonderfully, however my favorites got a bit scratchy and I got tired of having to glue the ferrules back on so I ended up giving them away to my younger sister and getting a different set. These DO shed, even from the very beginning. But if you care for them, they will last. So I do recommend them if you’re interested.
Review for Younique Stiff Upper Lip Lip Stain - 10 months, 3 weeks ago

This stuff really wasn’t very good. My sister used to be a presenter for this MLM -*cough*- brand and after so much hype all over I expected better. It didn’t look awful when it went on, but it wore horribly. For a stain, it was on my lips for about a minute before I licked my lips and drank water. I tried other shades too and same thing (she had samples). Everything I’ve tried from younique has been awful compared to the hype. Save your money. 👎🏻

Review for BH Cosmetics Third Edition 120 Color Eyeshadow Palette - 10 months, 3 weeks ago

I got this palette a few years ago and I believe that the formula may have changed slightly, but I remember really loving this! I ended up giving it to a friend because I didn’t really wear much eyeshadow at the time and she really enjoyed it too. The pigmentation was nice and the price is nice, as with all BH cosmetics. Plus they have lots of sales on top of it. It was a little annoying to have to move the trays around when I wanted to get to the bottom one, but I guess that’s just something you have to deal with when you get so many shades.

Review for e.l.f. Mineral Booster Natural Mineral Makeup - 10 months, 3 weeks ago

Unfortunately this really didn’t work for me. The color was far too yellow and not fair enough (shade fair or porcelain I think it was called)... It wasn’t just an issue of being too dark or not the right tone, it was like I had a light dusting of turmeric on my skin. It was really odd and I can’t see how anyone would have that undertone. Aside from that, it didn’t wear well (oil broke through it and I don’t even have oily skin) and it broke me out. Don’t recommend.

Review for e.l.f. Cosmetics High Definition Powder - 10 months, 3 weeks ago

Let me start this by saying that yes, as this is an HD powder, it does flashback. However if you aren’t worried about that, this is a really decent setting powder! It’s super finely milled and soft and seemed to work okay at setting my concealer (I don’t wear foundation). I did have an issue with the packaging being bulky, but the thumbnail here looks like they may have changed it. Overall pretty decent powder if this is what you’re looking for and much more affordable than the MUF one.

Review for e.l.f. Cosmetics Tone Correcting Powder - 10 months, 3 weeks ago

I’m afraid to say that this was one of the first ever elf products I tried (back when they were relatively new to the scene) and I didn’t really like it. They may have a new formula now, but back then I was really intrigued by the correcting claim as I was dealing with really bad acne and had a hard time concealing it. It was workable, sure, but it was very powdery, chalky, gave a white cast (weird since I’m super super fair) and didn’t do anything for my skin. I made it work at the time since I was young and didn’t have the money to get something better, but it was like working hard to just set my makeup and that’s about it.

Review for Maybelline Fit Me® Loose Finishing Powder - 10 months, 3 weeks ago

So this is actually for the presses version, however I assume they are similar formulas (and that one is just loose). Anyway, I love this stuff! I don’t use foundation, just a bit of the age rewind concealer under my eyes and on some red areas and I set it with this as well as dust a light layer over my skin to help my blush and stuff blend easier. It’s sooooo smooth and the one compact is still going strong even though I use it every couple days (don’t wear makeup every day). It almost applies like a real life filter on my skin, making it look super soft and blurred without being cakey or clinging to my dry spots. Like Tony the Tiger says, its greeeeat! 👍🏻

Review for Maybelline Full 'N Soft® Washable Mascara - 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
This is one of my HG mascaras! Great price, lasting power, looks great and is easy to get off at the end of the day. If you get it wet it’ll run of course, but it lasts through the occasional eye-rub (I forget I’m wearing it since it’s so comfortable). I’m so sad that maybelline isn’t CF, so I’ll have to find an alternative. But I still have a tube I’m using and I love it just the same.
