Ive never sweated so much in my life. I see the best results from my zumba class. But it all depends on your instructor as well. My instructor off the AF Base I live at is amazing unlike the free class on base. I've toned and lost my muffin top within a month of her class.
YES, if you do all the jumps and squats and go full force you sweat a lot. I lost a lot a weight doing Zumba. I'm currently 7 months pregnant now and I don't push it very hard so I do break a sweat but I do it more to just stay active and have fun. After baby comes and I am healed I will be going full force again!
It definitely can make you sweat! It does depend on how much you get into it though. If you are barely doing the moves then of course you won't get a good workout. Put your whole body into it like the instructors and you will get a good workout!
