Got this for my cats and they were scared of the mouse at first but loved it after a few minutes. After each use I notice the play time gets shorter and shorter, I've changed batteries and still the same thing happens. My mouse only works when you have the remote directly above it. It's a cute toy and a good idea, wish it were made better!

I bought this product sometime last year because it was on clearance. I totally understand why now because it barely works. The controller doesn't charge well and when it does it might control the mouse maybe for 15 seconds. Would not recommend. I was very disappointed !!

The toy itself worked great for me but neither of my cats (adult & kitten) want to play with it they just stare and ignore it. Works better on hard flooring.

I was gifted this toy by a lovely catfriend, and our cats absolutely love it. It requires two AA batteries, which are thankfully very easy and cheap to get, and those go in the remote control. It has an on/off switch to conserve battery power when not in use, and you charge the mouse through the remote until the red light turns off. This charge can run the mouse for about 8 minutes.

It's fun for people to drive the mouse around, and it steers pretty well! The cats LOVE stalking and chasing the little mouse, which has soft fur with a little bit of give which is perfect (like a scruff) because my cat likes to pick it up and carry it away once she's hunted it. The buzzing sound that comes from the mouse's wheels turning also gets the cats' attention and driving it around corners makes the cats go nuts.

It does require some maintenance, like having clean, flat floors like hard wood or tile (carpet and short rugs won't be acceptable terrain for this little guy). Dust and fur will collect in the little wheels, so be sure to clean those regularly. My only concern with it is that with each subsequent play session, the mouse lasts for less and less even when fresh batteries are put in the remote or the mouse has been freshly charged. When it is working full speed, it is a GREAT time though!

After four days of relatively good play, even on a full charge the mouse can barely budge. It can move backwards a centimeter or two but beyond that, it's pretty well sitting at death's door. If I toss it around, the cats still like to bat and play with it, but for its limited activity it's become a really overpriced little mouse toy. Shame because it was SO fun the first couple days when it ran well!
