This is a pretty fragrance! It's woody, spicy in a gourmand way, sweet and powdery. The notes include rum, saffron, cloves, nutmeg, grapefruit, lemon, patchouli, cedar, orris, jasmine, sandalwood, vanilla, vetiver and musk. On my skin, this is fairly light, but complex. The orris root is very prominent, as is the rum and spice. I love the sweet spices and how they layer with the vanilla, woods and floral. The blend is soft and round, though still a little bit fresh and very unisex. Longevity is an issue, as this fades almost as soon as it fully develops. It seems to stay as a skin scent for a few hours, and it is lovely that way, but I wish performance were a bit better. If the price tag on this bottle were a little lower I'd probably add it to my "wants" list pretty quickly, but because of the performance I'm not sure if the value is there. I do really enjoy Harlem Nights though! A very enjoyable scent experience!
