Wild Turkey Rare Breed is a shelf staple in my collection. I prefer full proof bourbon and this is one of the best full proof options at the price point. On the nose I get plenty of citrus, oak / barrel char, cinnamon, and some of that Turkey rickhouse funk (it’s a good funk but very distinctly Wild Turkey). On the palate I get a lot of that spice from the nose, sweet caramel, vanilla. It’s a well balanced pour but definitely is more spice and citrus forward. Always recommend to friends who have never tried it.

I really like this bourbon. It comes in at a woopin 116 proof , so it has a punch. But, dont let that scare you. This is a smooth sofisticated blend. It offers notes of oak, vanaila and fruit. I kick back after a long day and enjoy. Did i mention that it pares very well with your favorite cigar?
