If you make a mistake on applying it, you’re out of luck unless you want to try and rub your eye so much that it feels like you’re bleeding! It lives up to its “waterproof” name.
However, when you first put it on, it goes on a shiny black and dries more of a matte charcoal black, which is a deal breaker for me because I like true black colored eyeliner. Unfortunately, it also transfers onto your eyelid very easily because of how wet the formula is, but I find that with a lot of wet n wild’s liquid eyeliners.
And last but not least, the brush absolutely sucks. If you are wanting to try this, I would look for a different brush than the one that is provided. The one that comes with it is stiff and hard and doesn’t make the product go on smoothly and frankly, it hurts my eyes when I try to put it on.
If it didn’t dry a charcoal color, wasn’t such an overly wet formula, and had a different brush, I might reconsider my rating.
I tried the waterproof version when my go to was out of stock at the store I was at. I figured it’ll be like the original but better because it’s waterproof. Boy was I wrong. My main gripe with this liner is it doesn’t dry. Therefore every time I use it, I get a line in/above my crease from blinking. I even tried to blow dry it. Nope. Still ruined my eye look.
Removal is terrible as well. I have to RUB my lids (which is a no), even with make up remover.
I would not recommend this liner, stick to WnW’s original formula.
CONS: also makeup remover-proof | causes long eyelashes to clump together, making mascara application difficult | low viscosity (watery)
I love the pigmentation of this eyeliner and its long-wearing traits, but it is a challenge to remove. I have very long eyelashes and often find them clumped together upon applying this eyeliner. Removing the product from your eyelid, let alone delicate eyelashes, is extremely difficult and inopportune for someone with a busy schedule.
