When you have a UTI, you KNOW! Now, that said, they aren’t always the type that make it feel like you are peeing glass shards, with shocking frequency, and usually nothing much comes out. That kind is a AZO OTC pill away for relief, followed by a trip to the OBGYN (sometimes not). I had the kind where my wiz smelled like black death and had lower back pain and other fun stuff, no glass shards, etc. I let it go for A LONG time, thinking (well, knowing) that I don’t drink enough water. Finally, it was time TO GO TO THE OBGYN. These test strips can’t tell you anything that’s going to help you, as a physician is going to test your urine anyway AND…and most importantly…likely prescribe medication, like antibiotics. Test strips can’t. They MIGHT be able to tell you what kind of bacteria has taken over, but I doubt it. Either way, you are taking an extra step that is, essentially, wasting precious time. If it burns, smells, or anything that is not normal, skip the strips, get your peach to the peach doctor.
