Voltarol 34 hr medicated plasters are approx 6x4 inch plasters which are designed to provide short term relief to strains, bruises or sprains on arms and legs. There are two in the pack and they are unfragranced. They apply easily and adhere for up to 24 hours on skin. There wasn't any irritation or redness left in the skin after wearing it and I forgot I had applied it until I went in the shower. They are expensive and I didn't know that they were only specific to be applied to a specific area as these would have been great for back/muscle pain rather than reaching for the gel.

This medicated plaster is quite effective. It’s reduced the pain, but not 100%. It's easy to apply, but one thing I didn’t like is that it’s not very durable. I woke in the middle of the night, and plaster was on the floor. The second plaster became dry as paper after 10 hours and won’t stick again.

Tried this Voltarol plaster for shoulder pain but honestly didn’t notice much difference. It’s meant to last 24 hours and provide relief, but the pain was still very much there. Bit disappointing considering the claims on the box. On the plus side, I did like the packaging – it’s paper-based, which is a nice touch and feels more eco-friendly. The plaster itself is easy to apply and stays in place well, just didn’t do much for the actual pain. There wasn’t much of a scent so that was good, the plaster did stick but you can’t wear it having a shower so is only for the day the plaster can be worn. Might work better for others, but for me, it didn’t really help.
