This is the only red dye I trust. I use this red and their darker red to dye my hair at home. I had to order mine from target bc they only ever have one in stock and I need 3 for my long, thick hair. I loved how long this lasted and still have the red tint in my hair a year later. Was a vibrant almost candy red which is what I was going for when I used this shade to highlight the darker red.
Absolutely love the color, I got some many compliments on the color, very easy to apply, it doesn't smell that much, however be aware to have a designated towel to wash your hair, because stains A LOT AFTERWARDS, FOR ABOUT three more washes after the First application
For a red that you can do at home and that lasts a while, this is the color I’ve had the most luck with! I️ naturally have really dark brown hair and it picked up amazingly! I️ loved it and it’s my go-to.
Loved this color! My hair was bleached before I used t so it came out more of an orangey red natural looking color as opposed to the box color but the color was nice could go about three weeks between dyes (although my hair does grow fast) stuck with this color for 2/3 months it does dry out your hair a little but that's to be expected with most box dyes and it doesn't claim to save your hair at all so I don't fault it for that. I would definitely use this color again now that my hair is my natural color it make come out closer to the intended color in the box. It's also nice that they give you instructions and dye to help blend in new growth either previously dyed hair
I just have to give this color and brand five stars because this is my all time favorite! Unlike some hair color kits that you would buy, in a box; this line does not have a funny smell, their more simple than most, and seem to cause the least amount of damage or bleeding (color fade-out). I have tried SEVERAL brands/lines of hair color kits and these one seem to work the best for my hair as well as giving me the most satisfying color payout. Now, I have semi-damaged, dry/brittle hair and I am a natural blonde. I have tried both blonde and red colors and this line is what works best for me.
This is an OK Hair dye. I use it as my touch up when i have my hair dyed red. When I see my roots need a touch up or the color needs a pick me up ill use this but I dont like the way it dyes when going from brown to red. Hence why i only use it as a touch up.
Love love love this brand and color! Its so hard to find a decent red hair dye you buy over the counter! This product make take you multiple applications to get the perfect bright luscious red you could dream of! Most other brands red dyes come out looking orangish but this has none of that! The main product I use to dye my hair red!
I have been using this exact shade of this product for... let's see, about a year or two now. It really gives great color payoff, even on darker hair without a bleach or a lightener. It doesn't fade as quickly as one would expect from this bright of a red, and it's even cheap! I love it, and this review reminded me to pick up a couple more boxes for a touch-up!

The instructions in the box said 25 minutes. but I feel like that honestly wasn't long enough because it's only been a couple days and my hair is starting to fade into an almost orange color now. how long did anyone else leave it in or suggest I leave it in next time?
Because this is a red, and I'm going from dark blonde to a darker color, it leave it for about an hour. My skin and scalp tolerates it very well. MY super fine, super thick hair need the extra cooking time for hair color, so I apply the color, put a shower cap or plastic wrap over it, blast it with a few minutes of warm air from the blow dryer, and set my timer for an hour. I either watch TV or watch TV and soak in a bath for an hour. I then dampen it and scrub like I was washing it. Then I rinse in cool water. I rinse and rinse and rinse as red tends to bleed for many washings to come. I then soak the hair in either the conditioner that comes with it or a deep conditioner made to seal in the color (Ion from Sally's Beauty Supply makes one). I do that twice with plenty of rinsing in cool water. For the next several washings, I rinse in cool water, not warm, regardless of the time of year. Using cool water closes the hair follicle, so the color stays better. I wash every three days with sulphate free shampoo and condition once a week, mainly on the ends. I don't use conditioner every time I wash because I have super fine, oily hair. I've been this vibrant color for about 4 years now. I pray they never stop selling it. It took me 10 years to find the perfect red for me!
Youll need to be platinum before you can go pink. In the procesd, you may get close to what you wsnt to achieve, but youll still have to color because it will be uneven. Find a good hairdresser to take you through the process (or a cosmetology school. They have great prices and do a good job!) Just some honest advice from a stylist. This is a tricky one!
