3 reviewsI picked this up because I go thru a lot of garlic and ginger and mincing them is hard because I have hand and wrist problems. It'll be good for someone who just need enough for dinner not a canner or prepper.
Cute, but not practical. A pain in the .....to clean. I will stick to my Rosle where I can press the cloves with the skin and all. Not a time saver this one.
Im a self proclaimed kitchen gadget junkie. Seriously, way too many. Target has these for around $11. When I cook with garlic, I want a uniform dice, and I don't want to have to get the garlic juice all over my hands. Unfortunately, this doesn't really do any of it. You have to fully peel the garlic and place it into the compartment. Then the fun part of rolling it around to chop, but even with multiple blades, the garlic still has some larger pieces, depending on where it was in the holding area. To remove it, you can try to flip it over and tap it out, but that still left pieces that would need scooped out with hands. I went back to the garlic press from Pampered chef which will press garlic in its peel, and provides a tool so your hands don't have to touch it.
The pros of this is that it is dishwasher safe (top shelf) and you could use it for other herbs.
