This thermometer worked for the first couple of months and ended up in the trash. I definitely don't recommend it. Once it started wearing out, the temps would vary by 2-6 tenths of a point and that is pretty significant. It is frustrating because the time you need to take a temp is usually when trying to make medical decisions and you need something reliable

My daughter hates these thermometers so I have to buy the one that reads in 8 seconds

When I worked at the peds office I always told the moms over the counter thermometers are just as good as the ones at the Dr's.
