Are these shadows very pigmented or do I have to put on a primer first?

Primer helps it go on better and last longer but they would still work without it!

These shadows are very pigmented and the pigment is adjustable. The shimmer shades deliver a an amazing pigment when applied with a slightly dampened brush. I apply one or 2 sprays of the Urban Decay B6 prep spray or Smashbox Primer Water on my shadow brush and it completely transforms the shadows. It is best practice to use eye shadow primer prior to the application of any eye products. That way your products go on flawlessly and will last longer throughout the day. I hope that helps!

The primer helps for the shimmer shades but they are pigmented to begin with.

Primers will ALWAYS enhance the color of the shadows, and actually causes you to use less product to achieve a pure color. You can use these without a primer, but especially for the shimmer/glitter shades that naturally have some fallout, a primer will help prevent that.

I would still wear a primer honestly. It'll help creasing and color payoff with be greater.
