- "this foundation has a very beautiful dewy skinlike finish. it looks very natural and radient on the skin, the coverage is medium and buildable, it doesnt get oily but i would set this foundation with a litle powder and it will last an even longer time." in 402 reviews
This foundation was the perfect amount of coverage for me. It wasn't over the top, but it still covered up any imperfections I wanted covered. It was a very natural and almost luminous finish, which is always a look I am aiming for. Since it is such a thin consistency I feel it is necessary to set with some kind of powder. Then I set it with a dewy setting spray and it lasts me all day long! It doesn't cling to any dry patches and it actually feels pretty hydrating on my skin!
I love the packaging. The pump makes application extremely easy and not so messy. I typically can cover my entire face and neck area with a pump and a half to two pumps no problem ! As I mentioned earlier, it is a very thin consistency but it blends extremely well. I like to use this foundation with either my morphe m 439 brush or a beauty blender. I've found that they both work well with this foundation.
I also have the weightless concealer and these 2 pair PERFECTLY together. I have medium skin with neutral to warm undertones and the shade number 5 works perfectly for me. I have freckles all over my face, and even more so during the summer months, and this foundation doesn't cover them or make them look ashy either, which is always a huge plus in my book.
Hands down, I am extremely satisfied with this foundation and I am so glad I got it. It is just what I was looking for. Such a natural, radiant finish that really gives my skin a very healthy glow and stays in place all day! Highly recommended!!! Especially for all you dry skinned gals out there. I personally do not have oily skin so I am not sure how this would perform if you do, but if you're normal to dry, this is a must try foundation for you !
I use moisturizer & a cheap ELF primer & then apply Naked Skin with either a beauty blender (for light coverage) or a brush (for medium). It's a water-based formula so be sure to shake before!! I've found that just one layer (1-2 pumps) does the trick for me, but the Ulta associate told me full coverage is possible with a second or third application.
I can't comment on how it works with textured skin, but I do have somewhat prominent acne scarring on my temples & cheeks & this does a great job at camouflaging! One layer doesn't provide full coverage but it does minimize the redness to make them less noticeable & that's all I'm really looking for. Maybe a multiple layers would do the trick?
A word of caution to my oily-skinned people: about a year ago (when my skin was still crazy oily), my cousin used this foundation when she did my makeup for her (hot & humid) beach wedding, & I really wasn't impressed with how it wore. By the end of the day it had separated & settled into the areas around my pores & into laugh lines I don't even have. I think a setting powder might have saved me but who knows, maybe the weather was just too much...or maybe it's just not ideal for oily skin.
I wanted something full coverage that didn’t feel cake-y and drying. I loved the coverage of double wear and that it doesn’t break me out but it can be quite dry and is very thick and rather pink. This foundation covers everything but doesn’t feel like it and really does look like skin. While at the same time making me look air brushed. The finish is not matte which I like, I’d say it’s probably a satin finish. The shade matched me perfectly. I wonder if it tends to be darker since I am in 0.5 lol the lightest on either I am in denial about how pale I truly am or their shades are darker
First off, I have very oily skin on my T-zone and dry skin every where else. The best of both worlds. I wanted something that wouldn’t make my face look too dewy but not to dry. This foundation goes on smoothly with my beauty blender and manages to hide my redness, pours, and occasional pimples. I like to set it with powder but if I don’t it’s okay too.
I left out a star because sometimes I don’t like he way it oxidizes. At times I feel like it’s too warm on my skin, but then at night it looks really light. Light is better though because then I just add bronzer, so this foundation is definitely good for a night out. It starts off matte, and as the hours go by it starts to get a little dewy, but a nice dewy.
