Urban Decay Heavy Metal Loose Glitter
- "C'mon its Glitter, and who doesn't love glitter!? Can be messy but it's fun and festive to wear" in 286 reviews
- "Urban decay is a great brand all around. this heavy metal lose glitter gives me life!! it's highly pigmented and the color just pops with my blue eyes" in 28 reviews
I bought this glitter expecting a fine, workable, cosmetic formula, but to my surprise, it's heavy, chunky craft-grade glitter. Even with primer and glitter glue, the glitter ended up all over my cheeks. I really expected more from Urban Decay, as they typically make fantastic products. I guess this is why this glitter has been on clearance on the UD website for so long. Not recommended, even with glitter glue.
This loose glitter is what I would recommend to anyone looking to incorporate glitter into their makeup looks. You can use a primer or gel to apply it, and the fact that it's loose means you decide how concentrated you want the glitter, and wear exactly you want it to go. It also makes it very versatile, you can use this for eye makeup, brows, beards, eyeliner, or loose glitz. Love this product, and I have seen a ton of beauty bloggers use it.
I have a gold and silver and pink color for loose heavy metal and they just make you glow and make your makeup even pop out more the first time I bought these were when k went out to edc Las Vegas and there stay on literally from 3 in the afternoon to 6 in the morning I really do recommend these they are great you just need a good primer or glue I use lit glue or the urban decay primer and a lot of that for it could stay on but over all everything from urban decay is great especially the eyeshadow they are supper pigmented especially if you add primer to it
Urban Decay's loose glitters don't stick very well to the primer that is recommended for them. It needs up very flaky and patchy by the end of the night. I was not impressed.
The glitter is very pretty, however, the pieces of glitter themselves are very big and chunky. I'm an avid user of loose glitter makeup, but I found this one more difficult to apply. It's also difficult to get out of the pot that it's in. I prefer my NYX glitter to this, however, maybe I need to find a better way to apply this glitter.
This glitter is life! It will have your eyes looking like an editorial straight out of vogue. I love a dramatic look from time to time and this was a great way to achieve that.
It's way too chunky for me. I got in on sale for a few dollars, but can't find any way to wear these. I tried using the UD Glue and putting glitter above my winged liner, but it just looked heavy and didn't adhere in a nice line. I don't think this is practical for normal use, and is probably for someone more theatrical
I bought this last year for Halloween it is such a fun project to have and to play with that was my first time buying it I probably would buy it again if I needed it for something else in a different color I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do a fun Halloween costume that uses any sort of glitter because it is very pigmented and colorful stays on your skin it's an awesome product
I love urban decay lose glitter, the colors are gorgeous and very bold. Too bad the glitter doesn't stay in tact as well as other glitters I've used. I think urban decay should come out with more colors of their lose glitters. But honestly I'd buy nyx loose glitters before I buy urban decays
I really love the selection of colors but I honestly feel like the glitter is a bit too chunky and not as finely milled as I would've liked it to be. It tends to really stick to itself and isn't very easy to apply. It felt a bit uncomfortable due to the size of the glitter particles.
