This mask is like a blast of cooling hydration. When applying this gel mask it’s so super cold and that cooling effect lingers on the skin in such a nice way that I imagine this mask being perfect for applying after let’s say an intense clay mask like the Aztec healing clay that everyone loves. Any intensive mask that cleans so deeply it strips skin of moisture and even leaves it a little irritated I feel like this marine algae mask would soothe the skin while that moisture just soaks back in leaving the skin hydrated and supple. Even on hot days where your skin just needs a cooling break I think this mask would make you feel good. So far I don’t see any skin changes other than hydration but I think that’s the point of this mask. It’s best for irritated, tired, or stressed skin to just give it loving hydrating ingredients that will feel good and do good for your skin. I know I like a lot of heavy duty masks that are clay based and suck out impurities and improve texture so having this blue marine algae mask is vital in my routine to balance my skin back out and soothe any irritation because my skin is naturally dry so having a mask like this that feels like a luxurious cooling facial it’s just so important in my routine. Everyone needs a good mask to give that hydration and that will restore your skin to a hydrated and supple state. And a little goes a long way! This mask will easily last me way over a year. I’ve tried a lot from Peter Thomas Roth and it seems like he’s just one of those brands that understand skin and release such quality products every time. I don’t think you need every gel mask he has out but this one or the rose stem cell mask are the ones I would say are the heavy hitters for him and will be the most beneficial to have. For me I chose this one and I would make the same choice again and again. Such a staple!
