Wonderfully crafted plot with fully developed characters with that King twist. This is one of my favorite books I have read from him and the show doesn't hold a candle to the book at all. This one hits all the sci Fi horror notes for me!

Ho apprezzato moltissimo questo libro, anche questa volta Stephen King ha aperto il vaso di Pandora che si nasconde in tutte le tranquille cittadine, sia di campagna che di città. La velocità con cui le "brave persone" si trasformano in malvagi senza scrupoli in caso di caos e pericoli è raccontata magistralmente da King. Ho apprezzato più il libro che non la serie televisiva.

If you loved the show then you are probably going to love this book. I am a long time fan of King and I found the book to be miles ahead of the adaption (which shouldn’t come as a surprise.) King has a way of making you feel for the good guys while utterly despising the bad guys in this story but which is which isn’t always clear. If looking for a good read don’t be intimidated by this books size, just know the story is worth the time!
