My local store is in a very convenient location and the girls are very helpful. My elderly father likes also going in there they always give him great personal service when he needs to get gifts for all of his daughters and granddaughters. My only complaint is they have stuff that is online only but when I do buy stuff I don't like their return policy is good.
I always seem to go in ULTA for one thing and come out with something else. Went to Ulta for my bday membership gift and end up buying the bh cosmetics eye shadow palette! The prices are reasonable based on the brand and they seem to always have products in stock which is a plus. Cons- they don't do samples at least when I asked they didn't. And the long lines.
I just recently started shopping at Ulta, mainly because I wanted their free birthday gift, but I shopped a little further I really liked their store. I've only shopped in store and I've been happy, price points are definitely a bit more affordable and they always have really great promotions. Usually $3.50 off of a $15 but when you get a $5 off a $10 that's when you go! Recently they had a promotion on NYX, buy one get one free! Cashiers are really friendly and usually give you free samples as well.
The Dermalogica Superfoliant is AMAZING. It has active charcoal in it so it is an antiaging properties in it and when activated by water and massage on your skin for a minute it's sloughs off all of the dead skin and give you a more youthful glow to your space and then your make up goes on a lot nicer and smoother and just gives you an all day glow that last
I am physically unable to go into this store and come out empty handed. They have everything and anything you could need. All the way from waxing and hair treatments to the actual products and utensils for you to do it yourself. If you haven't been to one of their stores before, leave whatever you're doing and go to one NOW, I promise you won't regret it!
Ulta is an amazing makeup store. I have been part of their rewards program for a few years, and the program has worked wonders on my wallet, with my points adding up quickly and actually being useful, opposed to other rewards programs I've been a part of. The atmosphere and employees are also very helpful, as well as the store has a great array of products.
By far the best variety of products, both in store and online. BOGO sales beat the prices at the drug stores near me, as well. My only complaint is that my local stores no longer do sample products (not sure if this is now company-wide?) which I feel leads to more waste as if I don't like a product I will return it, as opposed to getting a sample and avoiding purchasing it.
My favorite thing about Ulta is that they carry a lot of the high-end lines, but they ALSO carry drug store brands. Their selection of hair care products is also amazing. The staff is always helpful, and I LOVE that they offer so many perks and discounts in their rewards club. Last summer I got a coupon for a full size Clinique foundation (which I really liked, btw) and they are constantly adding perks for Platinum members.
I went in the store SUPER excited about it because I LOVE makeup, well I needed help finding my shade and the associate was REALLY rude about it. She wasnt doing anything but talking to another person but when I asked for help she told me she had to do do this lady eyebrows and pointed me in the direction of the makeup. If I knew my shade I would have just bought it and not asked if she could hep me. Other than that bad experiece Ulta seems as if its a really good store.....just not in my town
Ulta is a great store. I really wish they had one in Washington, DC, because currently I can only shop there when visiting my parents in the suburbs. I love their weekly coupons and deals, they always make me feel like I'm getting a great deal (even though I usually end up spending more than I want to haha). Their brand selection is less wide than one of the other beauty stores, but it is constantly improving and I love that you can get drugstore brands and higher end brands in one place!
