U & I Entertainment Dark Souls Iii: Day One Edition - Playstation 4
This series is phenomenal. If you're looking for a game that gives depth, has amazing lore, graphics, game play and makes you think, pick this up! Challenging bosses, PvP and arenas, and in game summoning. But be prepared to die.... A LOT!
Not as hard as most people claim it is. A few bosses will give you run for your money, most are moderate difficulty with understandable mechanics. The parry in this game is very hard to use, probably my #1 problem with it. Otherwise the game is an absolute must for gamers looking for a challenge.
This game is super hard, if you like a game that you will die a lot in then this game is definitely for you. I ended up not liking the game because I died too much and I couldn't even kill the first boss (tutorial)... despite the game being hard, I know the game offers a good story and the game is another sandbox game to try.
We are all familiar with the Dark Souls format by now - you die, you struggle, you die, and it's insanely difficult. Dark Souls 3 is not much different in this regards- you will die- but From Software have taken a well worn concept and perfected it in this game. The game does not feel tired at all- in fact, it far surpasses dark souls two and has better game play than one. The level design is absolutely top notch and unlike dark souls two the worlds and levels are not separate but are connected in a highly satisfying way. Armor does not matter so much in this game which may upset a few; but it means you can customize your character more readily without having to just put on the heaviest armor you can find. As in all the souls games there are amazing set pieces - an encounter with a dragon comes to mind- and of course the intimidating boss battles. For old fans of the series there are a few surprises that are pleasingly nostalgic.
This game is what really got me into playing video games. The combat style, graphics, and eventual death and rebirth were all aspects that kept me playing again and again even after reaching the end.
I'm at heart in full love with the souls series, even demon souls I loved the mixture of DS1 and bloodborne in this game especially in the characteristics it took from the games. While in lore it thankfully kept the ds1 theme and story and even character throw backs of course to determined even in the DLC I enjoyed how it used bloodbornes gameplay and boss fight structures like second phases and even similar bosses to bloodborne. I feel this game lack replay ability though which is troubling as the game feels very linear in comparison to the other souls.
From software's newest installment into their Souls series is just as gloriously painful as the other installments. Rich with lore and characters you'll find yourself playing it for years. Gorgeous graphics and almost infinite customization depending on how you play. I recommend to all gamers with quick thumbs and a mildly masochist side because this game is HARD. But worth every minute when you conquer it. An instant classic and ridiculously high replay value. Keep up the good work From Software.
Frustrating. I've played this series back when demon souls was a thing. If you love high combat, confusing lore and frustrating encounters this is the game for you. Although it's all worth it. It just makes the game that more rewarding and pleasurable. It has high replay value. You can keep.going back and find new areas and new pieces of lore.
This game is awesome my son loves it and so do i a play with him sometimes at first it was a little intimidating to me cause I'm not a gamer but i find as we play more i can get with it:)!
Such a fun game! It's actually pretty hard, so not for younger people I wouldn't think. But it's a long game and hard to get tired of because there is a ton of stuff to do!
