This bed in a box took about two hours to assemble. I was disappointed in the color. It was supposed to be white but it arrived "black ". In actuality is is more a a brown-black, so I'm not a fan of the color. The space from the slats to the bottom of the headboard is 11 inches. A traditional mattress in a box is generally not this tall/thick and the mattress would slide between the frame and headboard with the exception of a single bar in the middle of the headboard. The space between the vertical bars on the headboard is 6.5 inches. Most pillows would push through to the back when sitting up in bed and leaning on the headboard. Personally I would not use this as my main bed, but it would be perfectly suitable for a guest room.

although assembly was a little bit tough and confusing the comfort of the bed and the durability makes up for it in a Boho style design. Overall, a very good product.

This is such a good bed frame! It’s very sturdy there is no excessive moving or squeaking coming from the frame when there is movement, the assembly was very easy to follow, I did it with one other person with no problems :) The design is also very nice i can see it fitting in any room!
