Tropic Isle Living Jamaican Black Castor Oil, 4 Ounce
After years of wearing wigs and weaves, my hairline became very damaged and I had several bald spots along ny hairline. After taking with a friend, she recommended Jamaican black castor oil. I've been using it for a little less than a year now and my hair has grown back so fast, you'd never even know that I've had bald spots. I would apply it to my scalp about one every few days. The product is thick so you don't need to use a ton, especially since your body heat will melt it. It does have a sort of strong, earthy smell but it does not bother me. My dog seems to love the smell though and always wants to lick my fingers after (after I've washed my hands).
So about a week or two ago my mom had bought me this product to grow out my hair because it started to break off real badly. So before I put it on my hair I went to YouTube to other people's experience with it . Everyone was saying how good it was so I decided to try it for myself. To be better safe than sorry I put it on my uneven eyebrows 😂 and after a week must say this product is a GOD SEND 😇👆🙏 My eyebrows were sparse in one place and thick in another one eyebrow tail was longer than the other very noticably😒 it was the worst but this product grew out the eyebrow tail that was shorter than the other and also filled in the sparse places as well so YES I DO RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!! In the next week or so I will show the results of my hair😘- chocobun🐰
I’ve been using this product for over a year now , I always go back & buy this , is honestly really good ! .. with frequent use is very effective , usually I use it in hair masks , my lashes & eyebrows . I’d take about a week of frequent use to start noticing results .
I use castor in ballerina bun styles to combat the flaking of the gel I use. It's super moisturizing and helps my scalp not to be dry while it's under the control of gel. It doesn't have the best smell but it's amazing on my hair! I recommend this for girls of color. I heard this has a lot of health benefits as well, like clearing out your intestines in case of a blockage, but I never tested this oil out in that way so I don't know for sure. If you're looking to use it for your body, please research about how to use it.
Simply put, it’s amazing. It’s been a staple in my hair care regimen for years and my hair suffers if I don’t use it. I typically use it after washing my hair. While still wet/damp, I section my hair (medium sections), apply my leave in mix, seal it all in with JBCO, and twist. My hair is soft, curly, full and smooth after taking the twists out. Without the JBCO, it’s still soft, curly and full, but it is more frizzy and not as smooth. I also use it in my leave in mixture as a between wash moisturizer. Absolutely love it. Oh, and the smell is an earthy, nutty smell.
After 5 years of using this product I highly recommend it for anyone trying to thicken/grow chemically damaged hair. My hair has grown several inches since I've begun using this product. It is inexpensive, and a little bit goes a long way; I have been able to make a single bottle last over 2 years (I only apply a quarter size amount at a time, a couple times a week). The only negative with using this product is it is a very heavy oil, so you must use with caution and be sure not to spill any of it as it can easily become a very messy task!
This product made my hair fall out. Didn't matter how much or little I used, my hair was falling out by the handful. On the other hand, my little sister's hair thrived. I summed it up to the oil being too heavy for my hair and maybe blocking my hair follicles? Not sure but my sister's hair struggled before using it and after experimenting with scissors, her bald spot came back and caught up enough to get back in a pony tail within a few months. Haven't used it since then but more than likely will incorporate it back into her hair routine.
I have really fine hair that I’ve been trying to grow longer and thicker and i massage a few drops of the oil into my hair every night before bed for at least 5 minutes. I also apply it onto my eyebrows and eyelashes. I must say i feel like my hair has grown so much since using this! If you apply too much your hair can get really oily and weighed down so that’s why i use about only 3 drops of it mixed with lavender oil. The castor oil is such a big help i don’t think my hair would have grown as long as it has since I’ve been using it!
I have been using castor oil for the longest time ever and I loved it I never have it and problems about it it actually helps grow back my edges it’s my favorite oil to just put on and do deep condition with plus mix with any of my other products and it’s not expensive and I just love it.
I love, love, love using this oil on my hair! I usually use it on the scalp to stimulate hair growth and to seal in the moister after applying other products. It works wonders! My hair is growing much faster, even after three years of bleaching it. Give this product a try but since it’s a thick oil, possibly mix with another or use sparingly.

Does this help with regrow in spots where there is baldness but little hairs still in tact and does it help with thinning hair? I'm wondering if it will be good for my fiancé to try.
