Trader Joe's frozen meals rarely disappoint, and this butter chicken is a staple in my freezer. I was a bit skeptical about the appearance when it first came out of the microwave, but once you stir it up, it looks incredibly appetizing. The ingredients taste high quality, and the chicken pieces are nice and tender with zero defects like chewiness or bones. The spiciness level is very mild, making it comforting and perfect for a quick lunch. It was a pleasant surprise how fragrant the basmati rice turned out!

I do enjoy spicy dishes however, The cayenne is overpowering the nice flavor. Of the sauce. So, I will not purchase again.

Trader Joe’s Butter Chicken is perfect for a quick meal. I make it with a slice of naan and it’s perfect. The flavor of the sauce is so good I wish they sold it in a bottle. The chicken is tender and the rice comes out fluffy. I always keep some in the freezer.
