I've been meaning to try epsom salt to detox. Can any one give me some tips and tricks to do so effectively?

Add to a bath along with some baking soda and a little bit of ginger. The baking soda basically purifies the water and the ginger will help to make you sweat out all the toxins

You add some to your bath amount based on directions and bathe for half hr to a full hr. That's it. No rinsing necessary.

Add two cups to as hot as you can stand water and soak in it for 20 to 40 minutes. Drink plenty of cool water and don't stand up too fast.

I normally throw a handful into a warm bath. If you want to help yourself relax more add a few drops of lavender essential oil.

Add some essential oils. I like to use lavender and sometimes a drop or two of peppermint (go easy on the peppermint, though)

I've used it as a detox bath with about 3-4 cups in a nice hot bath and soak for about 10-15 minutes at least once a week but that's just how I used it you can look online they have other specifics depending on what your end goal is
