I feed these to my two frogs, Tim and Jim. They go crazy for them. There is no issue with any unwanted leftover to cloud up their tank. They actually get excited when they see the canister. They definitely smell a little stinky. But they are freeze dried bloodworms not flowers. So the smell is to be expected. My fish also enjoy these as an added treat to their regular flakes.
