This is NOT ideal for hamsters. Please don’t buy these crazy looking cages for your hamsters, not only is it a pain to clean, but it’s just not comfortable for them. I’ve had hamsters for years, and I’ve done my research on what would be best for them. I personally use 105Qt. Clear Bins from the Brand Sterillite, I don’t cover the bins, if anything, only half of it so they don’t escape on their wheel. But they do need a lot of open space for air flow. I drill holes with a pair of scissors where I want their water to be.

There is not enough flat area for the hamster to actually love and play, there are way too many tiny spaces for you furry friend to pack bedding and poop into, and then it's so oddly shaped - makes CLEANING IMPOSSIBLE. seriously save yourself the nightmare and keep looking! This is fun and cute so I can see why people are drawn to it but please don’t. As you can see from many other reviewers this is not an appropriate home for your little furry friend. Hard to clean, poor ventilation, etc.
