Time Warner Cable
- "For years, I just lived without cable so I didn't have to deal with their terrible customer service, price gouging and boxes that never worked." in 19 reviews
The only reason why we have TWC is because of the Dodger channel in our area Sportsnet LA. I pay so much for cable but I guess it's worth it for this channel alone. I hardly have any connection problems but when I do their customer service solved it right away. So far, two thumbs up!
Fast internet speeds that you can't get elsewhere however service goes in and out so much I don't know that it's worth it. The prices and all the added fees are really high and make it hard to afford each month. Unfortunately there is nothing else in our area or I would switch.
I don't like this company at all but unfortunately they are the only ones in the area that I can get unlimited internet through. I don't like the fact that if you are a long time customer you are not entitled to any discounts with them but new customers get such cheap offers.
Time Warner is the largest provider in town but they do seem to have a lot of trouble with buffering with cable. The customer service is nothing to brag about but they are responsive and get things done a relatively timely manner. I wouldn't say I'm completely loyal though.
I have had an okay experience with time warner. They are the only providers in my area so I don't have much of a choice. They tend to have poor customer service. My first installation in my new apartment took longer than 3 weeks because they kept skipping appointments and showing up at the wrong time. And even though a pay for the fast plan, it's never been the greatest connection.
I can't complain too much about TWC here in SE WI,whenever we have had a problem they were on it immediately and it was dealt with. Service is good not really any major outages or technical problems. Sometimes OnDemand doesn't work wich is a hassle but it doesn't happen too often. I have internet with then and its blazing!!!!!
Their service is average, not amazing but not horribly slow. The only issue I had was with customer service. Whenever I spoke to someone, they would quickly not listen to my concerns and "send" someone to check my issue. The problem was that I never had anyone sent for 2 months. I let go one horrible situation and continued with their service at another city. Currently not that many issues.
Time Warner is ok. It definitely seems to be slightly better than Comcast in terms of horrific customer service, secret data caps and notices for piracy. I hope that Google Fiber rolls out soon and saves us all. Time Warner doesn't seem to constantly call us with promo offers or send by sales people to pitch us bundles that we don't want, use, or need like Comcast did at our last apartment.
RATES ARE RIDICULOUS. I have to constantly call because my rates are raised every year for the same basic high speed service. Quality of the internet is great and does as I need but the cost and rising cost is deplorable. If you can use another service in your area, I would.
They are a pretty good company. We get good signal strength in our location for both cable and internet. It's little pricey but the prices and packages are competitive. The guys that hooked everything up were fast and polite. I wish we could have more channels but I'm satisfied.
