Time Warner Cable
- "For years, I just lived without cable so I didn't have to deal with their terrible customer service, price gouging and boxes that never worked." in 19 reviews
This cable service provides me with cable, however, the prices and the "extras" are ridiculous! Seems like every little thing is extra. To have a TV guide in multiple rooms is an up charge, to have the TV channels put in numerical order is an up charge, etc. I would recommend another provider if given the opportunity.
Customer service is hard to deal with. I find that the only way to get things done is to drive to the customer service store and wait to talk to someone in person. You can call them at any time but after a certain hour it seems as though calls are transfer led overseas where it is hard to communicate and fix issues.
Due to lack of options, I never have any other choice. Better than satellite. Wishing I had better FIOS in my area too. They just merged with another company so who knows, maybe they will sink to the ranks of comcast and I will finally be able to understand every Customer Service Horror story I read on Buzzfeed.
This is pretty much the only internet service we can get in our town. We have have several issues with them. First they installed an old box so our internet was weak. Then, there have been many "outages" in our area. Last, the service men that have come out seem annoyed and like they don't want to actually help you.
I hate that you have to pay one company for cable. It's like the one service and you have to pay what they want, which is CRAZY but you have to pay if you want to watch the channels. i don't like it and personally am looking for another alternative to TV. Such as Playstation Vue. Can't wait to leave Time Warner behind.
Time Warner Cable is not a very good cable company, or internet provider, or very good at customer service. However, they are the only provider in my area, so we're stuck with them. They're overpriced for the services they provide and the internet is usually unreliable. If you can go with another company, I would.
We have business class internet through TWC and we really like it. I don't like the price but for the speed and reliability I think it is worth it. We could not live without it. I think that have good customer service , I just wish they would get americans on the phone or at least people who speak fluent english.
In San Antonio, TX this is pretty much the only provider you can have in an apartment complex. Mine personally has a contract with them so we can not use anything else. I always have outages and they are slow to repair them. Since they switched to digital channels and required us to have an additional box we have had more outages. Pricing isn't bad but their customer service is horrible. I have to call multiple times to get things adjusted that were incorrect on my bill or to get errors in my services corrected. I would switch to another company in a heart beat if I had another option!!!
I have a love/hate relationship with cable. I enjoy the service. BUT Cable is SO expensive. I love the DVR service but I hate that I cannot watch it in every room unless I move the box which is time consuming and not at all convenient. I am not a big fan of the looks of the DVR box either. It is huge and just ugly.
It's not the best I've had so far, but it's ok. My area is supposed to have really high coverage but my internet lags just a bit . It's almost expensive but not really. I can probably find cheaper but with a package deal, it seems ok as far as price. Depending on the person's area I would or wouldn't recommend it.
