This was a great start to kit to get you started with a bearded dragon. Saved me at least $100 getting the kit versus buying it all separately! It was easy to set up and has lasted going on 4 years.

To be fully transparent, no part of this kit is suitable for an adult bearded dragon, uromastyx, or tortoise. These kits have been known to cause a lot of damage when sold to unsuspecting new reptile owners as “everything you need” and most have no idea until it’s too late that the lighting is completely insufficient to support a healthy lizard. UVB bulb efficacy is reduced by at least 30% sitting on top of the wire mesh and at an already insufficient level to maintain healthy bone and metabolic function, placing these lights on top of the mesh makes them nearly useless. Please do your research into minimum size requirements for the species you are interested and into proper full spectrum UV lighting as well as basking and ambient temperatures needing to help your reptile thrive and steer clear of these convenient kits.
