The witcher 3 is an rpg fan's greatest dream come true! It combines cd projekt red's trademark storytelling flair with new game mechanics and an open world waiting to be explored. The story is nonlinear, set in a visually stunning living world ravaged by war. The huge new world will bring a new philosophy of exploration to the witcher series: the world is so vast that travel by horse and sailboat is a crucial part of the journey, and each community the player encounters bustles with problems and answers, friends and foes. The third installment of this award-winning saga improves on every aspect of the series. With a smoother...

This game has my 15 year old son hooked. Yes there are some parts that aren’t very good for him to see but the same happens on regular tv so... he played the game from the start while I watched and I was blown away! The story interested me so much I bought the books the game was based on and the graphics are the best I have seen this year so far. I you are into these types of games I suggest getting a copy of this you won’t be disappointed.

I bought this game for myself for christmas and it lives up to the hype. Im usually not one for 3rd person perspective games, but i quickly got over that once i started playing.

I personally don’t enjoy to play this game. It has an open world concept and there is a lot to do. I just find it was too complicated for myself to play. I would rather play Skyrim.

My little brother became utterly addicted to his game and I did not see him for days on end. He loved it so much he even read the books and now that they are coming out with a movie or tv show he’s so excited!

First of all I just wanna say that this game is absolutely amazing and the graphics are beautiful! Once I started playing it I did not know any of the controls very well, but as I played more I got use to it. Also once i started to play I just felt as if I was actually in the game itself because it felt so real. Also I feel like all the quests are very detailed and going throughout the missions it puts me on the edge of my seat. This is a 10000% recommended to anyone who loves a medieval/fantasy like game with a great plot! Also it was at a very decent price which I like since most games are very expensive.

Presently, the gaming market is flooded with games from companies that seem to not care about the people who are purchasing their product. When UPS dropped off The Witcher 3 while I was at work I wasn't expecting to come home to a game covered in a case cover. Not many companies release games with extra cardboard. After removing the case cover and the shrink wrap I opened the case and found a letter written by CD Projekt Red. They were thanking us, gamers, for buying their game. No game company that I know of takes the time to realize that we spent out hard earned money on this game. Behind the letter there were stickers, a map, a manual, and a compendium. All of these items, now considered extras, are what I remember about gaming. I can remember being a kid running down to the local movie rental shop, renting tons of SNES games and reading the book for awhile before I even popped in the game. I referenced this because it is important to realize how much gaming has changed. I will let you decide what the gaming companies care about.

Now the game itself is perfectly balanced between intelligent story-telling, awe-inspiring exploration, a fulfilling skill tree, great weapon and armor diversity, and a satisfying combat experience.

The story-telling of the Witcher is one of my favorite parts of this game. I haven't made it too far into the game because work is getting in the way at the moment. The introduction of the game up to the first notice board has me 100% interested in what Yennifer is all about. I heard about this love story in the original Witcher, but the story never elaborated on it much.

Exploration is awesome. I haven't explored too much of the first area, but I noticed that when I was running through it there was a lot of diversity. One second I was in a deep river gorge getting slapped up by drowners and the next second I was on a old battlefield littered with tons of weapons, armor, and dead bodies. I'm excited to see what the rest of the HUGE map has to offer. When I mean huge, I mean that I was screwing around with the map on the menu, zoomed out and realized there were a bunch of different areas to explore.

A skill tree is a necessity for any RPG and in my opinion I love a skill tree that confuses me. Not only do I love one that confuses me, I enjoy one that will also make me save up my points and not spend them even though I have them. This skill tree makes me care about how I want to build my character.

I have just reached the first blacksmith and I haven't got to see all of the armor sets and weapons for myself, but I did take a peek online. I haven't found too much armor yet, but I did notice that the weapons change when you equip them. I'm sure the different armor pieces that you will equip will change how Geralt looks. Games that don't have this piss me off more than anything.

The combat is visceral and engaging. I chopped so many ghouls in half and I'm not tired of it. The finishers are amazing and I don't think I'm going to ever get bored of casting Igni on the wolves. So far, I have only fought one boss and she straight kicked my butt. I'm on the third difficulty, so that may be the reason. This proves to me that dodging, rolling, and timing attacks are key. This is not a button masher for sure.

This is a game that you will force you to go to the store, buy some adult diapers, pre-make a ton of sandwiches, sit in mom's basement, and game for days. Give the game a try. I know you will like it.

Witcher 3 is an awesome game, and I highly recommend it! This game is in line with other games of similar nature. My boyfriend purchased this game and I have been watching him play for hours. One of the things I was most impressed by was the graphics of the game as well as the packaging. The game has endless hours of play and an awesome story line! I feel magical every time I watch him play.

My favorite game of all time. Graphics are amazing, the story is really good and you can make different decisions and make a different ending. Has a neat card game inside the game called gwent. Also comes with a music cd from the game. This game has many options for crafting and fighting. Game play is amazing. Would give this game a 10/10.

Let me start this review out with this, Thank you CD Projekt Red. Thank you for being one of the only gaming companies that actually cares about your customers. The first thing you see when you open the game case is a letter, a letter thanking the customer for purchasing their game. I have never seen a company do that before and that alone just made the game that much more appealing to play. The game also includes a booklet, stickers and a map, awesome!
The game itself is one of, if not the best game I have ever played. The story is so in depth and the side quests are stories of their own. Their are so many little details to the game and things that you wouldn't usually see. The game is just so incredibly unique. The weapons and armor have a wide range and customizability and it is actually difficult to level unlike many games where it's just a breeze. This game is like if Skyrim and Assassin's Creed had a baby but better. This game exceeded my expectations and can please take a second to appreciate the engines this game ruins on because the graphics are immaculate. There is everything from Adventure to a beautiful romance. If you haven't played this, do yourself a favor and get it, I promise you won't regret it!
