After pulling/yanking so much of my hair out (enough to make my scalp hurt) and having split ends in my semi-wavy long hair, I finally bought one at Wal-Mart. After using it the first time, I was amazed. I used it straight out of the shower, before my evening products and there was minimal pulling. The Wet Brush really does detangle hair smoothly! My hair feels so much better now that I am not pulling/yanking a rough brush through it. The Wet Brush is AMAZING!
In reality the product would be a fail for me for it's intended "wet" use but it works on my dry hair. I have it a middle of the road score because I used it on my mom's much shorter hair and it worked pretty well.
mother-in-law to my daughter. My
daughter's hair is fine but very thick and wavy. The only brush she ever wants to use is
whatever grandma gave her and she's been brushing her own hair since around 4
or 5, so I had no idea how well this performed.
Eventually the bristles from the first one got smushed in from her
taking it everywhere, so we just went to Ulta to replace her brush. She's 10 now and as soon as she saw the Wet
Brush she grabbed one and wouldn't consider anything else. The other night after her shower I noticed
she still had a large tangle in her hair and asked if I could help. Wow! I
wish I had this when I was a kid! That tangle
came right out and the brush was very gentle.
I barely had to do anything to get it out. This is worth every penny!
I have curly hair which I only brush when I wash it, which is usually twice a week roughly. I think the commercials could be a bit misleading because this does not just glide through my hair effortlessly like people rave. However, it is less painful than other brushes I have used, but also much more expensive. I'm not entirely sure if it is worth the price, but you can often find them on sale at Marshalls or TJ Maxx, so if you do, snag one and get a good brush for a more reasonable price!
I love this brush but I do have one small complaint. I can't use this brush with my hair dryer because the heat causes bending of the bristles. I'd love to see a hair dryer friendly version!
