I am torn between giving this 3 and 4 stars, but at the end of the day I’m not sure it really does all that much, so I’m going for 3. It is fun to use because it is different than most lip masks. But any effects it has are temporary. It has a thick and smooth consistency, similar to a clay facial mask. It is not glossy/goopy at all, it has more of a dry waxy texture. It is tinted pink, but is not a very flattering shade. It looks pretty in the jar, but looks different once applied. It is quite pale and makes me look like I have some sort of illness. It has a peppermint fragrance, but it isn’t overly strong. There is a slight tingle to the lips while using. I use a damp makeup removing towel to remove, and it comes off easily. My lips look and feel very smooth after using this. They also look slightly plumped. Strangely enough they do not feel moisturized. If anything this mask almost makes my lips feel more dry, it just smooths them out and gets rid of any dry flakes. The effects last less than a day, there doesn’t seem to be any long term improvement. I enjoy using this product and am glad I decided to try it. But I will not purchase this again, and it is definitely not a product I see as a necessity.
