I am glad you ask; people like you set the foundation for other less-fortunate families to have christmas. There are three ways to help The Salvation Army during this Christmas season.
1) Volunteer your time by
(a) Visit http://www.volunteermatch.org and search "Salvation Army". There you will find available volunteer opportunities to participate in.
(b) Visit http://salvationarmyusa.org and search your zipcode. There you will find your local Salvation Army where you can inquire about volunteering.
2) Call 1-800-SA-TRUCK (1-800-728-7825) to discuss pickup for your items or find your local Salvation Army to drop them off.
Unfortunately all the Salvation Army families have already been adopted but there are many other ways to adopt a family or provide presents for children.
If you would like to adopt a family for Christmas try http://www.2hands.org. They are always looking for help. I am actually apart of that website and they have inspired me and given me hope. Good luck! And thank you so much for caring!
